Although the hotel is housed in a historic building, you barely notice it due to the modern and tasteful interior. The Mister Highland Hotel was located perfectly for exploring Amsterdam, staff were really friendly and nothing was too much. Prior to travelling I had a few questions and they got back to me immediately. We did not eat here, so cannot comment on breakfast (or other food) was a little unsure what the situation was regarding coffee provided, this was not topped up at all, we went out for breakfast so it didn’t bother us that much, but it would have been nice for a morning coffee, we could of asked but didn’t want to be too much trouble (the British in us!) The hotel decor was bright and our room was clean and sufficient - we were only sleeping here after all.
