Once we located the building we had great hospitality from Jillie (we only saw Hugh briefly just before we left). The post code takes you to the other end of Elmdon Road. The photo of the building was some years ago, so take into account you can't actually see the building unless you are part when on their drive which is behind a fully grown hedge.
We did arrive on a Friday night in the darkness.
Jillie was very welcoming and showed us down the stairs around the basement apartment. Was much bigger than I had expected. Bedroom was massive with a large screen TV too. Kitchen had more than you could need including fridge, washing machine and all the crockery and utensils you might need. As it turned out we only used the kitchen briefly for 5 mins on one of the 2 nights we stayed.
The lounge/dining area was also big with another large screen TV. This is where Jillie brought breakfast to us each morning at a time we agreed on. We chose 9am. We had fruit juice, yoghurt, cereal, cooked breakfast and toast with home cooked marmalade and jam (believe it was a friend of Jillie who makes the preserves)
The bathroom was a good size with a bath and overshower.
There was a full length mirror with a plug socket within reach in the bedroom for using hairdryer/ straighteners. An issue I quite often have problems with elsewhere.
The building is located on a quiet street, but only a 10 minute level walk from the start of town (20 min walk to The Brewery complex)
