Ness Walk Hotel Break Sept 2020
Had a nice stay at this conveniently situated hotel. The property is lovely , both rooms and public areas. You are made very welcome and the staff are very friendly.Meals were mixed with breakfast being under hot grill too long and twice we had our breakfast order forgotten. You do however need to say they are doing pretty well given current situation. The really only serious gripe I had was being charged £15 a night parking. This seems a bit excessive given the hotel rates are not cheap.

Spot On
A very relaxing stay. Great service and have dealt with social distancing very well. Staff are friendly and cannot do enough for you - always interested in what you’ve been up to during the day. Evening meal was a very pleasant surprise - absolutely lovely. Breakfast equally as good - lots of choice and plenty to eat. Would definitely recommend and would stay again. Ness Walk have just about got everything right.

Outstanding hotel, shame about the face masks
A beautiful hotel with great service in a wonderful location. It's just such a shame you can't speak to staff properly due to the screens and face masks getting in the way. We couldn't have a conversation as we couldn't hear each other. We were made to feel really uncomfortable when we arrived, we had to wear masks on arrival and had forgotten. Wearing masks in corridors when on your own also seemed to be pointless and just uncomfortable. Other than that, it's a beautiful hotel, the service is amazing and the food is also great. They cater well for people with allergies and breakfast is particularly good. It would have been perfect if we could have seen the faces of the people serving us and could have had a proper conversation with them.

5 star in waiting
Ness Walk was not too shabby... I feel it is extending a little to say it was 5 star. The staff most definitely were!! The room was nicely decorated but we did have a couple of issues. Stephen tried his hardest to fix the tv but the smart functionality was not connecting via their sky box set up. The light on the mirror in the bathroom was also not working this was despite the power definitely being there as we charged our toothbrushes. Breakfast was very tasty but the 1 sausage, 6 halves of mushroom, the overcooked potato scone, beautiful black pudding and bacon was sparse on the rather large plate. Also on the receipt I got to see the mark up/rate that Expedia aka were given. £18... which is not crazy money but we’re cheaper than booking direct.

Very good 8.0
Was a nice stay, very comfortable. A little especially the food. Cocktails were nice. Bedroom was nice. Premises were nice. Surrounding area was nice and very close to the city centre. Service was a little lacking and the amenities like the milk and tea for the room were short. Had to ask for tea milk and sugar twice. Asked for earl grey and english breakfast was brought up so had to ask again. These little things add up. Like asking for Fried eggs well done and then having them come runny and the breakfast taken away and brought back. Im not too critical but these little things are what creates smooth and flowing stays especially mentality - the egg situation happened twice in 3 days we were there. Also asking for water and it being delivered to a different table was amusing. Breakfast was also a little small if Im honest. Nice but small. The room had a mini bar fridge but the content amount added up to £110. £2.20 for a small bar of green and black posh chocolate which In fact Asda sell for £1.80 for the big size bars is a little much. £1.65 for a pkt of crisps. The room actually had wine, soft drinks, water, chocolate crisps etc (£110) on the menu lol. Tried hard not to resist but when the munchies kick in its hard to resist - 1 bar and chocolate and a pkt of chilli crips devoured ....🙈 Would stay again but a little overpriced and over rated. Some reviews are harsh and some over the top so I hope this review is an honest and clear one.

great stay
Hotel was excellent, food, room and covid precautions. They always say the staff make a good hotel and Ness walk has some of the best working for them. Only gripe was the car parking charge as the car park looked like it had plenty spaces.
