What a lucky find, especially as we do not play golf! We chose the hotel based on reviews and location, and were not disappointed. We had a lovely stay in this family hotel. The location is nice, in a remote place in the national park so you definitely need a car to reach it although we were told in the summer you can reach Cesis in two hours. The ladies running the hotel were really friendly and even let us use the sauna at 10.30 pm because we spent the evening in Cesis. Overall, I really recommend the hotel and wouldn't definitely return there if ever in Latvia again.

Really high-spec hotel and room. All beautifully decorated and presented, including public areas. Young staff on reception were friendly, helpful and spoke good English. Our twin apartment was small but top notch and very well equipped. It was handy to be able to get extra items such as pillows, toaster and iron from reception. On first impressions the area this side of the station where the hotel is located was not very nice. However, it was in fact safe and interesting, especially the markets....

Staff were excellent, very good value hotel

We had a comfortable stay at the Hotel, especially after an initial issue with our room was resolved. The location is excellent within walking distance of Riga Old Town, while the bus station is only around 5 minutes away, so we didn’t need to use public transport much. One of the reasons we chose this hotel was the location which, whilst stone throws away from city centre, still put us in the more quite part of the town not far from some nice parks and the airport. The hotel was recently opened and everything felt brand new. It had a good vibe and upon arrival we were greeted by the staff, who for most part seemed to be very young, but very polite and professional. Lovely hotel, nice rooms, helpful staff and excellent breakfast! Very clean, nice decor. It is in the Art Nouveau area, which us definitely worth a look, and about 10 minutes walk from the Old Town through the park alongside the river that borders the city. Take a town walk with a guide - we went on a free walk, for which we tipped well - for Riga's interesting history. Lovely people as well. We loved it.
