Sandman Signature Vancouver Airport Hotel & Resort
8/10 Good
"The staff were nice and the rooms spacious. The two rooms I booked were connecting, which was appreciated. The rooms had an office desk, tv desk, microwave and fridge cabinet, bedside tables, safes, clothes irons, bathrobes, and balconies. The furniture (i.e. ac cover, microwave) was a bit dusty but not terribly dirty. My teenager enjoyed the fluffy bathrobe. The bathroom had handsoap, tissues, towels, shampoo, conditioner, body wash, blow dryer, towels, and extending mirror (which was useful for my nearsighted-ness), and oddly enough shoe sponges. No toothbrush, toothpaste, disposable razor, and combs though. The bathrooms did not have vents so it fogged up with a hot shower. The pools were small but the hot tub and waterslide made up for it. The railing walking up to the waterslide were pretty old and needs some sprucing up though. There were water fountains (to fill bottles) and changing rooms by the gum/tennis court, vending machines and ice machines on upper floors, and a gift shop. There were also both breakfast (Denny's) and dinner (Chop steakhouse and Dimsum Golf Caddy?) places nearby. Parking was free with no space designation in the lot. Location wise, the hotel seems to be 30 minutes from central locations (e.g. Chinatown, Granville Island) although I also enjoyed the restaurants and malls (e.g. Aberdeen Centre) nearby as well. Overall, nice and convenient. My family enjoyed the stay."

This duration allows you to explore key historical and cultural landmarks, such as Chinatown, as well as enjoy urban dining experiences, shopping, and the welcoming atmosphere of local cafes. You can also take leisurely walks through the area, participate in tours, and visit beautiful gardens and art installations, all of which offer great value for money.
Look for last-minute deals on Hotels.com: To discover last-minute deals to Gastown, visit the DealsOpens in a new window or Last-Minute DealsOpens in a new window sections on Hotels.com, where you may find discounted rates on hotels as your travel date approaches. Be flexible with dates: Prices can fluctuate depending on factors such as the hotel's location, star rating, and the time of year, so being flexible with your travel dates may help you find a better deal on your stay in a Gastown hotel. For those in search of distinctive accommodations, boutique hotels often provide a more personalised experience and sometimes offer greater value. When you book through Hotels.com, we will inform you whether the price for your chosen dates is above or below the average. If the price appears to be on the higher side, we will suggest alternative dates that may be more affordable to assist you in securing a more advantageous rate.
Consider your location: Staying nearer to key attractions or city centres may provide convenience, but it often comes with higher costs. For more affordable options, consider hotels in less central areas or neighbourhoods, striking a balance between price and ease of access to the sites you intend to visit. You might also look into independent hotels located a bit further out, as they are usually more likely to be affordable and can offer a more authentic experience.
