I travel to Las Vegas frequently for both business & family. This was a family visit over Christmas & the first time we'd stayed at this hotel because it was close to my parents in Summerlin. We stayed in a two bedroom luxury suite which included VIP services. Unfortunately, we ended our visit feeling like anything but VIPs. The personnel knew nothing, did very little, and took forever to do it. Furthermore, ON CHRISTMAS DAY, after my AMEX automatically flagged a few transactions as potentially fraudulent because we'd spent the day prior last minute Christmas shopping (which is not an uncommon thing to have happen), the hotel's on duty manager called me while we were with family opening gifts on Christmas day to DEMAND I provide payment for $350 in room charges because my AMEX declined the additional authorization, having already authorized and received payment for thousands of dollars for the room rate, resort fees, and other charges! She said that I needed to provide payment or our entry to the hotel would be refused, and all services suspended until payment was made. It was such an over the top egregious failure of basic courtesy and decency ESPECIALLY ON CHRISTMAS DAY WHILE IM WITH FAMILY, to call me and demand payment over such a small amount of money relative to what we'd already paid. This was anything but a "VIP Experience", as I was treated like a common criminal trying to skip out on paying his hotel bill!! There's so much more on how badly this was handled.
