First, the owner was a wonderful man and it is difficult for me to criticize.
However, when we arrived, the condo smelled funny and flies were everywhere...they were swarming. Host opened windows and cleaned the bathroom again, sonce that was the source of the odor. We loved the view and roominess so we decided to stay, as host was working on the smell.
However, the next morning, the smell was much worse, nauseating. My husband believed the odor was sewer gas. To me it smelled like a dead animal, perhaps in the pipes. We called host and found a hotel.
Like I said, we felt bad but we had to leave. I hope the owner/host is able to locate the source and repair it.
