Happy stay and would recommend.

Breakfast was enjoyed by the 4 of us. Rooms clean and all staff very friendly and efficient. No problem at all about the parking. Snooker room was a surprise and used and enjoyed by the men.
Alison, 3-night trip

8/10 Very good

Excellent parking. Staff were welcoming and helpful. Rooms were excellent. Breakfast however was very disappointing. Scrambled egg and tomato was very peppery. Hash brown was very thin and difficult to cut through. Struggled to chew it and we left most of it. Mushroom was only a very slim sliver. On second morning we didn't risk cooked breakfast.

What an absolutely beautiful place! We loved our room; it had so much character. We appreciated the kettle and coffee/tea in the room, the included breakfast; the restaurant on site, the wifi and the available parking. The grounds are also beautiful; you can sit at the tables along the river and admire the castle-like building. I wish we could have stayed longer.

Excellent hotel…staff so friendly. I forgot a gold ring in the hotel room after check out and Yola from housekeeping was kind enough to help me find it.

There was no evening food but breakfast was really excellent - the hotel is a bit tired and could do with a refit but has character

Lovely staff

Lovely staff, especially on check-in & at Breakfast. Stay here regularly when working in the area. It's a gorgeous old building but the staff make it a nice place to stay.

Good!

Big spacious rooms, furnished to building style - time has worn down the features/walls and the bathroom needed repairs but it was usable. Great night sleep and good breakfast!

A hotel with so much history and character. A little tired, but very clean and comfortable with friendly staff.

A Delightful Stay

I had a fantastic stay at The Mansion House Hotel in Elgin, Scotland. The staff was great, the location was perfect for exploring the town, and the facilities were top-notch. Nice parking area in the hotel. The overall wonderful experience. Highly recommended for a memorable visit to Elgin.

Tv didn’t work, otherwise all was great.
David, 1-night trip

6/10 Good

When we pulled up the property looks amazing. Even the inside has great rooms. Then there was apparent and visible water damage and a musty smell in the air. A great building that just needs some TLC. Room was large and comfortable.
Scott, 1-night trip

4/10 Fair

This is set up as a B&B as it has not evening restaurant , very difficult to find anyone and many old facilities whilst still there were unable. The room was in need of much repair especially in the bath room.

Uncomfortable bed, no water in room, generally poor decor. I fail to see how this could be classified 4*

The breakfast staff is great. Overall, they are doing what they can. The property has some differed maintenance to deal with. Definitely, not ADA accessible. Overpriced for the condition and staffing. Their website is not up to date.

Wonderful experience all round!

Mansion House was a really great overall experience. Khawar and the team really made us feel like it was a home away from home. The staff went out of their way at every step to ensure we enjoyed our stay. The building itself and the property is beautifully kept, and the design inside the building and rooms preserves enough of the historical and combines it with the comforts needed to ensure a pleasant experience. The Lounge was a favorite of ours... It was the perfect location to relax in and read a book or sip a scotch and chat after a busy day visiting Speyside distilleries. The mac and cheese and the mushroom risotto at the Haugh restaurant on site were strong favorites (and David, who manages it, can hold a great conversation if you catch him when the place isn't too full). When, not if, we return to Scotland, we will definitely be making a trip to Speyside again, and will be staying at Mansion House!
Ashish, 5-night trip

4/10 Fair

Disappointing Faulty towers without the humour.

Not at all what I expected from the reviews, I had booked a Deluxe double room and on arrival was told we were to be staying in the self catering lodge at the end of the drive! I explained that my booking was for a deluxe double room in the Mansion House Hotel and not in separate accommodation. I showed the Hotels.com booking on my phone to the receptionist and was told that because it was booked through Experia (his words) there was no room in the hotel as there was a group staying ( all the Ferraris, Astons,Jags and Audi’s outside then!) I was in the self catering unit. I explained that whomever I had booked the room through it was not my responsibility (as he suggested) to contact them to resolve this and that as the hotel used these sites to market their rooms the responsibility rested with them to provide the booked and paid for up front accommodation specified. So off we go to the rooms at the end of the drive to be met by dirty stained carpets and a decidedly non deluxe room! Just as I was about to storm back to the hotel, the receptionist arrived to say one of the group with the cars had not turned up and there was a room free. Back we go, numerous staff appeared to carry our bags to the room, apologies and here you are. Well, it was certainly a step up from the self catering accommodation, somewhat marred by the fact I stepped on exposed gripper rod at the entrance to the bathroom, solved by housekeeping laying a bath at over it. Run out of characters but you get it!
