Pleasant staff, close to the airport
Good points: room was a good size and bathroom too, plus Dove shower products. Coffee available in the food area. Close to the airport. Very polite and helpful staff - they organised for us to be in early to the room and also put our bags in their store. Next door to a petrol station which has Subway and only 500m walk to an excellent Cuban restaurant. Negative Points: the Shuttle to collect us from the airport was diabolical. It's shared with the Best Western Hotel. Stuffed full, suitcases on laps. Only runs once per hour so if it's too full you'll have to wait for it to come round again. Most were waiting over an hour (like us). Goes all over the place. To take us to the airport worked fine (at 6am) as it was not full and we went straight to the airport. Breakfast by UK standards is rubbish. Plastic cutlery that bends. No chopped up fruit or healthy options. But US breakfasts are pretty diabolical in hotels anyway. If you want to get fat, be diabetic, etc then eat a US breakfast. We would stay here again due to the proximity to the airport but it is hellishly expensive for what we got for the price.

Always check for bedbugs
The hotel itself was nice. We arrived, checked into our room and promptly discovered bed bugs. We went to the front desk and notified them. They moved us into a smaller room and wanted to charge us the same price as we paid for the suite... with bugs. When we went to the desk in the morning to talk to the manger she never came out to talk to us face to face. Instead authorized her staff to offer is 15% discount on our 1st night. It didn't even cover to difference in price between rooms! The staff finally agreed to 20% but i still never saw the manager. The breakfast was OK, but never refilled. We had to constantly ask for main items like eggs, pancakes and sausage to be refilled. It was like this no matter what time we went to breakfast.

There was a cockroach in the bathroom, eyelashes on the wash rag, and hair (short brown) on the shower wall. Shower was terrible, hardly any hot water. Had to call for shuttle from Miami airport.

Lots of broken outlets and switches in my room. Window blind was also broken and did not open or close.

I should have done my research before booking. But this was a last minute trip for work. I will never stay near an airport again, if you’re a light sleeper you will not sleep. The rooms feel outdated. There is a weird smell, and with my luck there noisy ppl slamming doors on my floor. Honestly this has been the worse experience I’ve ever had in a hotel.
