Room was clean but in a very poor state dirty walls, curtains wouldn't close. Bathroom door was very difficult to close. Very small double compared to normal. Carpets need replacing. Main lobby areas were in better state.

Great location, service and value.

I have used this location as a base a few times. I have stayed in a few hotels in this area and for the money, this is one of the better choices in terms of standard, service and help from the staff. I will continue to use this hotel, should I ever want the same area as a base.

Good value hotel

Booked as an add on to initially a single overnight stay. The staff were very accommodating in moving the 2 bookings together to save the need to check out and back in again. Good value for money, great location, good restaurant and nearby amenities and very attentive staff.

Ideal hotel for Arrochar area, friendly staff

2/10 Poor

Loud Bad Karaoke on till 11:30 at night , not ideal when we’ve chose this place to stop half way after a 7 hour drive and need to be up early in the morning, fire alarm went off as a false alarm at 2:30 in the morning, breakfast was abysmal and got served raw sausage while sitting next to dead flys on the seats , lovely place 😀

I booked this property as part of a 2 week break to visit the Scottish highlands, the hotel is conveniently located next to Loch Lomond and the Arrochar Alps which was perfect for to try some long Hiking routes. The staff were all very friendly and helpful, the room was large and spacious with a nice bath.
Aaron, 2-night trip

6/10 Good

Check in was easy , on entering the room , the heater was on full and the carpet had lots of wet patches on it, the hotel allows dogs and I'm sure our room had one that had soiled the carpet from the last guests. The bathroom floor was slippy and the lack of extractor in it , had warped the door , the panels were coming off , it had mould on one of the lights which didn't work and was hanging down out of the ceiling , the toilet roll holder was broken also. This was room 58.

Generally ok for 1 night, didnt have any meals here so cant comment on the food but did see it and it looked good, comfy beds, carpets a bit grubby, everything else fine, staff friendly.

Lovely location

Lift out of order, again. However they moved us to a ground floor room with balcony, overlooking the Loch. Beautiful but, room very small, no wardrobes and no double glazing. A sleepless 3 night's. The staff were extremely pleasant and helpful.
James, 3-night trip

6/10 Good

Ok for a short break

Staff and service were great. Lovely view from the room. Very cheap room rate and evening meal was good for the money. Hotel was freezing and had to sit with winter jackets on to eat the meal. Heating in the room did not work. Lift not working so had a lot of stairs to carry bags up.

First impressions was ok, when i checked in there was no mention about breakfast what time it was or how much it cost, also i wasnt informed about the switch for the shower in my room, then when i went to the bar and purchased a bottled cider the person who served didn't offer me a glass or ice. My room was ok, tea and coffee making facilities it was a single room and only 1 pillow on the bed and not a spare one in the room also the tv in my room didnt have all the channels and needed to be re-tuned, then when i went down to breakfast in the morning i opted for the full scottish breakfast instead of the continental, i had cereals and toast and jam. The cooked breakfast was not cooked fresh my fried egg was was hard on the white meaning it was cooked then left under a heat lamp, i would understand if it was a buffet type breakfast (I payed £12.50) given the location it was a 25 min walk from Arrochar &Tarbet station i would not stay here again and i would look to try one of the other hotels in the area.

10/10 Exceptional

We booked a family room, 1 adult 3 kids and the dog. The room was cosy and clean and had everything we needed at a very reasonable price. We only really used the hotel as a base for walking. Hotel perfectly situated a short walk from the start of Beinn Narnain, Ben Ime and the Cobbler too. Staff were friendly and welcoming and there was a pool table to keep the kids entertained.
Cat, 2-night trip

8/10 Very good

Overall, very good and value for money. Both bar food and breakfast, however, appallingly handled service and absolute confusion by one member of staff about service/opening times, leading to us being denied breakfast even though it was well within opening time.
Anne, 1-night trip

4/10 Fair

Room was cleaned and tidied well, fresh towels every day. However, the room was very small, no a/c, no hairdryer, very dated, carpet badly frayed. Road noise affected sleep. Hot tub and sauna not working for the whole week, corridors grubby, decor dirty, carpets dirty. Went into the bar once at 10pm and it was shut. We were told they closed early because they werent busy but there were quite a few people drinking. One group told us that they had to double up on their order because the bar was closing. Nearly every time we walked in or out past the reception, we were ignored. Needless to say, we were disaappointed to be staying a whole week and wont be back!

A great hotel & base for exploring Loch Long area.

Lovely dog friendly hotel. Staff very helpful & friendly. Nice sized, clean room...huge bathroom!! Room could've done with some coat hoots by the door and some parts of the hotel are a little dated but still clean & very welcoming. Food very nice. Nice large bar area (with entertainment). Small pool table in the lobby & vending maxhine in hallway. We had a fantastic stay. A few shops/food places nearby and plenty of walks to do.

Went for a wee ladies night with 2 mates. Staff are laid back and excellent. Triple room wasnt the biggest but expected seeing as it had 3 beds in it. In all we had a great night and already planning a future stay.

Do not stay here

Filthy hotel. Awful service. Uncomfortable beds and noisy rooms
Craig, 2-night trip

6/10 Good

Very pleasant staff and food was nice enough, but the mattress was way past its useable life. You could feel every spring, which doesn’t make for a comfy nights sleep, unless you’re into
mike, 1-night trip

6/10 Good

Small double room, down a long series of corridors and steps. There was a view of the loch, through a small window , and road noise from the road outside. The dinner menu was basic and we ate at the pub in the village ( very busy , table booking advised) Breakfast was good, at an additional charge. Hotel was quite busy. Staff very friendly.
Catherine, 1-night trip

4/10 Fair

Reception personnel are not friendly or helpful and WiFi doesn’t work in rooms. The parking lot is so crowded and small it’s hard to fit even a compact car.
