Let me start by saying that the staff was extremely nice and helpful.
Unfortunately this hotel itself is really not worth it's price. The rooms are so so so badly sound-proofed (I could see the outside of my room from the door frame), I could hear any little noise next door and the balcony is not fully separated from the other ones....
There is no free water in the room and you cannot drink the tap water.
They charge you for literally everything. A room service is 10,000COP which is non-sense when you pay 800,000COP a night minimum.
Early check-in is 90,000COP per hour even tho the room is available... ridiculous.
They have a restaurant on the premises but it's really not good, specially for the price. Very limited selection.
I do not recommend.

It was a wonderful experience. I suggest to work in a little bit of room maintenance e.g a bad smell in one bathroom

I'm struggling with this place a bit. The receptionist was really rude to us from when we arrived and this kind of left me with a bad taste in my mouth. It was a treat for my partner and I.. I'd spent a bunch of money on hotels.com and this was a basically free night. Should i be treated badly because of that? The bathroom in the cabin was run down. Rusty and peeling. I was using a rewards nights voucher and can also assume this is the reason that they gave us a crappy room? although i did pay the difference. she was really weird about our tourist extension visas and then at the end charged us a surplus on our room, because we had been staying in colombia with a tourist visa extension? If this is correct, i would of been happy to pay it, but i can't find this information online anywhere.
We bought dinner, drinks and other things. We were polite guests who are learning Spanish.. i really can't think of any other reason why we'd deserve to be treated how we were. It's a massive shame because it is a cool place except for the run down bathroom. I'm coming back to Guatape with my family in 2 months and i will be booking in a different hotel. We felt really unwelcome.
