We had a guided tour around Skipton Castle by Stephen, who was most informative, knowledgeable and interesting. On the second day of our visit there was a classic car Rally on the high street which was an extra added experience. A perfect location.

Book a table if you want to eat at the pub - recommend Craven Kitchen (Indian) and Le Caveau (French) but there was no shortage of good food and drink in Skipton.

"The Throstles nest is a nice quiet peaceful escape where you can relax and feel safe. The farm is located in beautiful countryside with outstanding views.Margret and her family are very welcoming and nothing is too much trouble. Breakfasts are excellent and made with good quality local produce. The farm is literally two miles from the centre of Skipton. Hope to return soon!"
"The room was very small but very nicely set out. The bed was very comfortable and everything you needed in the room for a lovely overnight stay. The breakfast was delicious, we didn’t eat an evening meal but the bar area is really nice. Nice touch in your room were 2 vouchers for 2 half pints of Timothy Taylor’s beer. "
