Hotel rooms x 3 were not to standard, one day none of the rooms were cleaned! Found an eye glass case inside my duvet cover, so clearly not freshfrom last visitor. Also the carpet wasn't vacuumed. Vwry disappointing especially for the price. Likewise the valet parking was very tiring. Best part was the Treaty of Paris restaurant...best breakfast ever!

This is a really charming hotel which is in a brilliant location for exploring Annapolis. The bed was very comfortable and the room was very clean. As this is a historic building, my only complaint is that the floors are very thin so noise travels. Whoever was staying in the room above me on 4th floor decided to do some unpacking at 4am which kept me awake. Other than that, the hotel really is lovely and I would recommend staying.

Outside facing rooms recommended
We stayed in an inward facing room. Half the rooms in the hotel face into the inside of the building onto a large ballroom where events are held. This means these rooms are dark with little natural light with windows that don’t let in fresh air. We arrived very tired from the U.K. with a wedding in full swing. To be fair the music stopped st 9.30pm but if we had been given a choice we would not have stayed in that room. We found that we were trying to find things to do rather than go back to the hotel. When we checked in we asked for a quiet room having read other reviews describing this experience. We were reassured our allocated room would be ok. Would we stay there again? Possible if we could be guaranteed an outside facing room. The staff were pleasant and helpful and the valet parking worked well.

Poor 2.0
No Sleep Allowed
This hotel is comprised of accommodation in two different locations, after checking in at the "main" building it was about a 5 minute walk to the building where my room was located, this was expected. What I did not expect was the tiny size of the room and the constant noise. The room itself was uncomfortably small and decaying, though this was not the worst part. The worst part about this stay was my lack of sleep! The air conditioning unit was loud and inconveniently located less than 2 feet from the bed where my head lay. Even when the air conditioner was off, the outside units were all just below the window (near the bed) blowing all night long. I was on a business trip for an entire week and every night I struggled to sleep, I raised a complaint with the concierge however they said there was nothing at all that could be done as they were fully booked... I will not be staying there again, I would prefer to get a good night rest elsewhere and travel in to the area for my meetings everyday rather than stay another night in this accommodation.

Bedding not clean
Unfortunately, there were some issues with our stay. Our room was not clean. There were multiple hairs on the bedding as well as pen ink marks. We requested a different room which they could not accommodate, but did send housekeeping up. He changed the bed linens. We asked if he was changing the comforter and he said no, that the hair on it was likely from the previous housekeeping staff who probably had long hair. We asked that the comforter not be placed back on the bed. We were told there were no other clean comforters available. We were able to get 2 wool blankets. They also only had one valet driver on Saturday morning so we had a good 20 to 30 minute wait for our car. We have stayed st the Maryland Inn in the past and had no issues there. I would seek other accommodations before staying here sadly.

Great Place
If visiting Annapolis, the Historic Inns are the best choice available! Comfortable, close to everything and affordable! Would have been perfect if the available coffee had caffeine... All decaf makes for sad morning....

Pleased
I am a Nurse and due to the COVID travel restrictions, I was not permitted to go out of state during a much needed break. I really enjoyed being in the heart of downtown Anapolis during my stay. The staff were incredibly friendly! (including the front desk personnel, the valet staff and a gentleman I cannot remember his name but who gave me recommendations as to where to eat). The only negative thing I found was that the bathroom was very small and there were no options to place a note on the door that there wasn’t a need to have my linens changed or fresh towels (to conserve resources, etc.). Therefore, I hung around my room on my second day to let housekeeping know that I had plenty of clean towels and my linens didn’t need to be changed. : ) I will definitely be back and may choose another one of the Historic Inns of Annapolis just for a change of scenery.
