Nice hotel for a one night stopover,friendly staff
Really helpful staff, especially Gary on reception and Poppy in the restaurant. Rooms are clean but the bathrooms are very tired and in need of a makeover. Bar area very basic but comfy, restaurant can be quite noisy. Food was good. Breakfast was very tasty and hot.

The staff in the hotel are all super friendly and helpful. Simple things like remembering where you sat the night before at dinner give a personal touch. There are parts of the hotel which do need updating though. Everything is clean and the beds are comfy but some areas look a little tired for example the bathrooms. Excellent selection at breakfast

Dated and worn
We found the hotel to be rather dated and a little run down. In the bar area there were chairs with torn seats. In the room the carpet was worn, the curtains were not a good fit for the windows so light not blocked and marks on bedding. The bathroom was dated with cracked tiles and towel rail coming away from the wall.

We had a late, easy and friendly check in , all was good no problems ,nice comfy night in the room . plenty of choice for breakfast in the morning , nice well cooked english , all the staff where polite and courteous , had to book the mercure at the last moment and worked out great ! This is a nice hotel to stay and will do so again , no complaints

The hotel has definitely seen better days. It is fairly run down in some areas. The windows in our room were running with condensation and the bathroom tiles cracked. However, the bed was comfortable, the shower good and breakfast wonderful. The staff were all welcoming and polite. I would recommend a stay here as long as your expectations are not too high.

Far too overbooked .
We stayed in Willerby for a wedding , room ok , the hotel was fully booked , with coach trips for new year parties. The hotel could not cope with the amount of people!! It was chaos moving around the hotel, not big enough. Our food was cold , service poor , wedding wasn’t organised properly. Things missing , had to chase to get the best out of the day .
