Hotel, on arrival seemed ok. Reception staff friendly and helpful.
Nice touch with biscuits in room. Room was very dated and not brilliantly set out. Half of tv obscurred by wardrobe. Bathroom. Didnt use bath, again dated, sealant around bath base to floor very rough, felt like toilet seat was going to fall off everytime you sat on it. You can hear everything from other rooms, conversations word for word, not just noise. We went out for the evening and when we returned we couldn't get out door to open, like the lock was faulty, we had to get male receptionist to come and force it open for us. He said someone had said it needed fixing.
We did eat at the hotel and the food was quite nice. The bar staff were very nice and friendly. There is no lift at the hotel so wouldnt recommend for people with mobility issues but after going up and down them to reception to try and sort door, it was pretty tiring for me.
The hotel was really handy for visiting The Piece Hall but i would probably stay somewhere else if I visited the area again
