Nice place to stay with a good breakfast
We liked the area , the pool the breakfast and the overall stay. But we had extrenley noisey people upstairs. We dealt with it uo untill 1130 pm from 530pm. We had to call multiple times and they called up to them several times and they still would not liste. Sounded like they were literlltly going to come through the roof and we had 3 young kids trying to sleep. I understood they had police arrive that night for the amount of noise i found out in the morning. Will want to return as we come to brantford a few times a year but definitly not placed under a large party crew. They offered to change rooms but i wasnt getting into that at midnight we were settled in our beds and tons of stuff layed around the room.

Solo Female Traveler
My stay was decent, room was comfortable and check in was quick. I will say that the hallways are SO DIRTY. I am talking dirt covered carpets and THE SMELL. Very stinky in through each hallway. Also, a suggestion to staff at check in. If a young solo female traveler is checking in and there is a lobby full of single male guests, I would not be handing her room number face up and announcing the number out loud. It’s very unsafe to do so and puts a target on their back if anyone in that lobby had scary intentions. My suggestion would be to hand the card and number face down and simply say “you room number is written on the card sleeve for you”. Simple and easy. Would put a lot of women at ease knowing their room in which they are staying in alone isn’t being announced to strangers.

As expected but crazy chemical
Overall our stay was just fine. Rooms were as to be expected. Service at the front desk and in the restaurant was great. The chemicals in the pool were so overwhelming that it was near impossible to wait poolside while my kids swam, my eyes were burning and kids were coughing. We decided to leave the pool after 5 minutes because it was so uncomfortable.

Areas For Improvement
Three areas for improvement. 1). Our room had a wheelchair accessible shower which we did not need and did not request. Our booking was for 2 adults and 2 young children (6 & 3) who take baths and not showers. We were unable to give them a bath to remove the chlorine for the pool. It was also difficult for my husband and I to shower as well do to the height of the shower head. 2). No shampoo bottles only 2 bottles of conditioner. 3). Pool had not been vacuumed from the day before when we swam.

Our stay was absolutely amazing! The staff was friendly. The hotel was clean. We arrived early after along night travelling and they were able to allow us to check in earlier than normal. Because our room wasn’t ready they upgraded our stay. An amazing 3 days.
