Friendly staff, James was great when he checked us in, he showed us to our room and gave us some tips on travel to Edinburgh and how to get to the beach from t he hotel. The pool was good. The room was big and clean .but there were. Pair of children knickers left in one of the drawers from previous guests.but the beds were comfy and the room was clean..it was a great base for travelling Edinburgh and close to amenities and a very good bus service

The location of this hotel is incredibly convenient as its just a 10 minute stroll down to Portobello beach which is so underrated (and long may it stay that way). The property itself is a magnificent old building with plenty of character. Staff couldnt be more helpful, whether that be reception or the leisure staff, they couldn't do enough. Will be using again for the next trip to Edinburgh

Best was being able to use the leisure facilities from 6.30am. Free parking on the main road was a bonus too.
