Conveniently located, very well appointed hotel with friendly, helpful and efficient staff. Top notch breakfast and excellent dinner the night we chose to take advantage of the restaurant. The room was large and comfortable with lovely added touches. We look a room on the lower level which was still bright and welcoming. It will definitely be a place to return to next visit to Bristol.

Room was very clean, however we did have a put you up bed in for some reason, removed upon request. The bar was sadly closed as it doesn't open Sunday or Monday. Never had the breakfast option. Would I stay here again, definitely yes.

The hotel is well located and the rooms were compact but comfy. Staff were very helpful. What gave the 3 out of 5 stars is that the windows are only single glazed - at least at the back of the hotel. There was a hotel function going on in the rear courtyard (receptionist said it would be until 12pm) and even with the window closed and curtains pulled, it was so loud I had no chance of sleep and had an early start the following day. I asked to move rooms but as the hotel was fully booked the best the hotel would offer was a 10% refund.

A lovely hotel in a great location in Bristol. I had a really nice room, which came with a number of lovely touches, including fresh milk, Elemis products, fresh loose tea and ground coffee as well as complimentary sherry. As a solo traveller you can often be given cramped, soulless rooms, but this was not the case at this hotel and I would certainly stay here again. It was also good value for money.

Absolutely loved it, from booking in to checking out the whole stay was superb, very friendly staff, vintage but quality finish to the rooms, the food is top level stuff, and the cost was reasonable for the whole stay, couldn't fault the place, highly recommend.

Lovely hotel with excellent staff. There is heating but no air con. We stayed during on of this year's many heatwaves and certainly needed the fan the hotel provided, but were also glad we'd brought a couple of small usb fans.

Great location, easy secure indoor parking, Lucy on the front desk was terrific. Granted there was a heatwave going on but the front facing room we had was baking hot on arrival. Drawing the curtains would have helped a little and although one fan was on, another would have been even better. Some iced water on arrival would have been a nice touch. Small details but its attention to detail that really counts in hospitality. Look forward to returning! Thank you.
