Staff and exterior fantastic, single room a little small

Uni visit
Hotel a little tired in the bedroom but perfectly adequate. Reception were excellent particularly with parking arrangements. She ran down to the garage to make sure there was a space for me. Ideal spot for visiting the University or Clifton.

Disappointing
No idea how this place is categorised as 4 stars. The only positive was how helpful and kind the staff were. Everything else is about 2* standard. PS restaurant and bar looked good but didn’t have time to test them.

Poor 2.0
Shockingly Bad
Arrived and given key to room, it was full of laundry and linen bags. Given key to another room, was full of laundry and linen that was stacked to the ceiling and couldn’t even get through the door it was that full. Then had to wait until someone checked ‘if’ I could be given an ‘upgrade’! Finally given a room that was so dated, hot and dowdy that it was depressing. Thank God I was only staying for one night.

Bristol at its best
Very friendly welcoming staff. The room had some lovely quaint complimentary additions such as Bristol Cream Sherry, fresh fruit and cafetière tea and coffee. They also served a good, fresh breakfast

Good location for meetings in Bristol
Nice, clean room. The hotel is is a good central location for meeting son Bristol.

Good 6.0
Some stains on bedsheets. Difficulty filling provided kettle as it didn't fit fully under the tap. Though tea and coffee were provided, milk was not. At night noise from an event in the restaurant downstairs made it impossible to get to sleep - this defeated the point of the stay which was to get a good night's sleep before an interview in the morning.

Sour visit
An excellent location let down by poor service, a mould-ridden room, and the milk in the room was so sour I could turn the jug over and it still wouldn’t spill out. Reception could not tell me the On-street parking hours As the hotel garage was full. Saying that the breakfast was excellent.

Good 6.0
Very convenient for University visit
Chosen for it's location adjacent to the University Campus the two rooms booked were very adequate for our needs. Breakfast was fine and very plush, although limited, garaging was available which I had not expected.
Keith, gb1 night family trip
Exceptional 10.0
Definitely worth a visit
The single room I stayed in was small but very well organised and I had everything I needed - and much more! Tea, coffee, cafetière, sherry, fruit, biscuits, dvd, toiletries, hair dryer, fan, etc. I particularly liked having my own thermostat and opening window too as I tend to overheat at night. The staff were pleasant, helpful and efficient with all info and help needed. My only ‘complaint’ was that I’d have liked a bigger cup for my tea!
