The property was excellent in general, but the beach area was 2 star not 5 and massive improvements are needed.

The resort is a hidden paradise, tucked in a quiet bay surrounded by beautiful hills, clear blue waters, a little beach attracting numerous boats and a couple of super yachts. All of the staff were fantastic, welcoming, friendly, and genuine; they remember their guests and what their plans were, asking how they went. The team also handled a serious power outage (beyond their control) quickly and professionally, relocating guests to a 5-star hotel in the popular Rodney Bay, and finding ways to recompense as we returned. The food and drink is delicious and the on-resort experiences are awesome. The spa village is not to be missed. There’s an office for a reliable excursion/experience company on resort too.

Disappointing, old rooms, tired. Not a five start hotel.

Penthouse suite had a great view overlooking the pretty bay - probably the best in St.Lucia and certainly a 'must see' on the island. Staff made a conscious effort to make us feel super-welcome, which made a big impact. Spacious and comfortable apartment benefited from large balconies. On the downside the climb to the room might have tested some though, for us, it was all part of the fun needed to get the wonderful views. We enjoyed the gym and specific complimentary exercise classes that ran through the day from early morning. These attracted limited attendance, which suited us fine. We enjoyed the two swimming pools and choice of bars that overlooked the marina. We took part in some other activities such as cooking (often we were the only guests attending). We enjoyed some paid-for boat trips from the marina and hired a car on two separate days to explore the island. As is the way with the Caribbean, there were some issues of shortish power cuts and some of the kitchen appliances did not work, which need to be sorted. Overall a great vacation.

The hotel was beautiful, with all the comforts you could want. The rooms were spacious with lots of amenities. The restaurants and bars offered a range of food that was delicious. We used the spa and had a massage, which was one of the best I have ever had. What set this hotel apart from others we have stayed at is the staff, who were extremely friendly, professional and polite.

We travelled to Capella on our honeymoon with our 8 month old son. The service at the hotel was amazing, the staff were so friendly and went out of the way to make our stay enjoyable. They were particularly attentive to our baby son which was lovely. We are foodies and were a bit nervous in selecting the all inclusive package but the food and drinks were of a high standard especially at The Grill restaurant. My only minor criticism is that the resort is starting to look a bit tired in places for example the sun beds around the pool are very old and uncomfortable. If you are looking for a quiet and relaxing pool based holiday with great food and drinks then this is the place for you!

Damp room or noisy with very expensive and lengthy waits for food

We spent four nights at the Capella. The hotel room was lovely, spacious and well equipped with a wonderful view of the bay. The staff were more than excellent, very friendly and could not have been more helpful. The restaurants on the site were very good and not overly expensive. We used the gym, which was very good, although possibly needed a bit more effective air conditioning. Hotel pool was large and very welcome as it was beautifully hot and sunny most of the time. The marina was interesting, lots of boats coming and going. Ferry to and from the beach, which was small but had a small water sports area and a swimming area.
