8/10 Very good

Bar meals were expensive and not worth the price we paid. There were only us 2 in the bar but we still had to wait 35 minutes, and then parts of the meal were lukewarm. Priority was seen to be given to xmas parties that were being held there and drinks service at the bar. We are regulars to Jurys and don't normally expect this.

Not confident that any issues raised were addresse
16 story hotel only 1 lift working. Had to work up stairs with bag to reception on arrival as lift did not come. Waited 15mins to eventually get in a lift in morning with my bags. Couldn’t check out online as the 20% food discount had no been applied even though I went to reception the night before to discuss this and as told it would be done. After queuing to check out for 10mins I was told at reception that I was not eligible for the discount and once I provided the proof and the receptionist spoke to another member of staff this eventually got sorted out. No restaurant service on the evening with 1 person behind the bar who was serving drinks and taking food orders, long queues again and difficult as a single person who needs to provide a table number which was sat in by the time I returned. Breakfast was a disaster. No tables had been cleared. No clean tables at all there were several people looking for one. No cutlery available, no glasses for drinks. My room was a new room and very clean and tidy, however the door was broken and would not latch on its own, this was identified when someone walked into my room who advised they had been given the same room? I then proceeded to call down to reception following the instructions on the welcome letter only to find that the phone was not connected and I was unable to speak to anyone. (Serious H&S issue in my view) when I went down 8 floors back to reception to advise apparently they were aware that several phones were not worki

Pleasant stay
Nice & warm comfortable hotel, drinks are expensive at the bar though, & breakfast was busy at the time we went but that’s unavoidable just bad timing.

Quiet hotel and central
Receptionist very welcoming and made check in easy. Great central hotel, close to everything we needed. Room quiet and comfy, only issues were the price of drinks in bar and expensive parking

Will not stay again
Front desk were rude upon checking in. Requests for adjoining room and cot in bedroom were ignored. When cot was eventually delivered we asked for a quilt and it never arrived. Baby crawled into the bathroom and there was glass on the floor, told this to reception and they said “oh, not sure how that got there!” with no apology. Restaurant food was overpriced and looked terrible so decided to order take away to the hotel. Shower the next morning was amazing, towels were soft and although we didn’t use it it was nice to see shampoo and body wash there. (Although the hand lotion next to the hand wash was empty! Annoying considering the hand wash is awful and very drying). When checking out we were not able to online so had to go to the desk but it was quick and easy. Issues with the room, Huge stain on the bed, huge stain on the duvet, hair on the toilet roll, glass on floor, no instructions for the phone, no milk for teas, no hand lotion, broken shampoo dispenser in shower so I scratched my arm.
