My husband and I had a great stay at The Residence. The breakfast buffet was vast and delicious. The property is beautiful to walk around. Although you cannot access the ocean from the property, the views are amazing and you can easily access the water nearby. Lots of beautiful walking areas nearby as well as restaurants. The hotel pools were lovely as were the restaurants and free entertainment. The staff was helpful and the facility was immaculate. Our room had a beautiful room, was clean and comfortable amd had amazing water pressure. We would definitely return.

Our return to Madeira was well worth the wait.
It was excellent. The location, staff friendliness and efficiency was of the higher order. The buffet breakfast and dinner was fantastic the like of which we have not seen before.

Everything was great but in our room was very loud at night. We prefer to go to sleep not late to wake up before sunrise. It was impossible to sleep before midnight. I believe there should be a choice of rooms in terms of noise level preferably at arrival. Otherwise it was great.

Beautiful hotel
This is our third stay at Porto Mare, and its just as good as we remember. Spacious and clean rooms, lovely breakfast buffet, great facilities for adults and kids. Our two year old especially loves the pools and playground.
