Lovely hotel
Lovely hotel only 2 blocks from the Parroquia and Jardin. The room was lovely-mine had a terrace overlooking the pool and gardens. And most importantly, the staff was exceptionally welcoming, friendly and helpful.

4/10 Fair

Great location BUT impossible to sleep.
The location was great, around the corner from the church. And lots of restaurants within easy walking distance. The room though was very uncomfortable. The AC unit was broken and looked like it had not been working for a while. So we were forced to open the windows which are on the street. The noise all night was deafening from the cars, trucks, people, etc. And we were concerned about leaving them open with access from the street. I even tried ear plugs which did not work. We got very little sleep.

2/10 Poor

Wouldn't recommend
Could be really lovely but the hotel staff and attention to detail is very bad. The place is dirty and the beds and pillows are very hard - we had the worst sleep. The bathroom had mould. Also the hotel is quite loud so don't expect any silent relaxation. The only nice plus is that it's within walking distance to everything central. I wouldn't reccommmed it to anyone.

Great city, great Hotel, great location.
Very picturesque hotel, with awesome service. Pretty much in the Center of the town - do NOT rent a car, everything is walking distance. City is awesome, food is great (fair prices), roof bars are awesome, and safe. Take tours if you want to go anywhere else.

Lots of road noise
Hotel is quaint but our room was on the street side of the building. The road noise made it impossible to sleep.

Nice hotel and location
Nice, clean, ample room with great view. However, air conditioning hardly worked and room was extremely hot even during the night. We had a room on 3rd floor with no elevator.

Charming and delightful.
We stayed in one of the larger suites on the first floor. It was spacious and had its own patio area. The hotel is perfectly located and convenient to the plaza, stores and restaurants.

Excellent location. Everyone was very nice and went out of their way to be accommodating. The manager, Javier, was especially helpful. Our room was lovely.

Nice hotel.
The only downside is the price didn't include breakfast and the fact the windows need insulation from outside noise

It was great and the service was excellent but the room we say red was close to the street and it was impossible to sleep because of the noise. They changed us the next day and was much better. The pillows are not comfortable.

One night stay in San Miguel
This was the 4th hotel we stayed during a week trip to Guanajuato. Lovely hotel! The room was spacious and it overlooked the street. It was loud during the evening -- cars zooming through and church bells going off every so often. It's really close to the main garden in San Miguel. My daughter went crazy over the pool -- even it being mid November the water was a really nice temperature. We would definitely stay here again if we visit San Miguel.

Really central hotel. Rooms are nice and clean. Maid service is great. Get a room with a terrace. My only negative is that they need to put a dresser/table in the room. There is no place to put things ontop of. There are drawers in the closet but thats in the closet. Other than that it is a great hotel.

Ok if you like that kind of thing
Don't expect to stay connected to the Internet at this hotel. The connection will drop 30 seconds after you make it on the site HB_COQUETA. On the other hand you can connect to the Internet back home. Aren't you going to San Miguel de Allende, (SMA), to connect with the town and people there? Not that the lack of Internet means you will enjoy peace and tranquility. There is a steady stream of vehicles outside your window on Cuadrantes throughout most of the day, not to mention the clanging of the church bells at the Iglesia right next door in the evening. But the traffic and church bells can be heard all over zona central of SMA. Bring ear plugs though. Otherwise I wouldn't have been able to sleep. The infrastructure of the hotel is a little rickety. The second day I was there, the fregadero, (sink), sprung a leak and flooded half the bathroom floor before I noticed it. But that gave me the opportunity to learn a new Spanish word, fuga. And the staff fixed it within a few hours. Oh and don't leave anything lying around that might be confused with trash. I carry my vitamin and supplement containers in plastic zip lock bags so that if they come open while in transit, the contents won't spill all over my luggage. Around the third day the maid threw them in the basura. The staff promised they would get me some replacements, as I did not know where to find such in SMA, but after a day, they had not done so, and I gave up asking.

Top-Shelf service and hotel
Superb service and professionalism. My only suggestion is to improve the wi-fi access (could be spotty at times). Ideal location with a beautiful garden and pool.

Reservation was not honored
When we arrived to check-in we were given any room that we did not reserve. We made a reservation for two doubles and we received one queen and a cot. We filed a complaint with the staff and after two hours of waiting we were placed in a different hotel down the street

my private oasis
Beautiful. Great wonderful people make this gorgeous boutique hotel feel like you are the only ones there. Our own garden, pool, bar etc and the service was wonderful. Close to everything but private and relaxing. And we loved the church bells. Will stay there whenever available. The staff was friendly and sofisticated. For example Javier, not only very handsome and helpful, is also a law student. Excellent.
