Beautiful lobby and bar reception area.The rooms are showing there age though .Im guessing they haven’t been refurbished since the hotel opening in 2006.Still very clean and comfortable.Id argue this hotel is the best location possible in the city.Safe and vibrant location with beautiful surroundings.

We stay at this hotel every few months, it is the best in Sheffield. The only downside is that you now have to pay £10 every time you visit the pool. Maybe they could rethink this and make it £10 per stay.

Stayed one night on New Year’s Eve . Could not fault the hotel in anyway. So quick and easy check in . Lovely and clean . Staff very pleasant and helpful. Decent stay, the room was spacious and clean, but the shower didn't have any warm water. The bath in the room gave very hot water, but not the shower!! We did report this to the reception person as we checked out, but FYI - room 424 did not have hot water in the shower!

I had a great experience at the Mercure hotel! Robin at the desk was welcoming and upgraded our room when he saw it was my birthday, along with complimentary drinks at the bar. The room was really clean and had a lovely view of the peace gardens. I would definitely recommend and stay there again.
