We have stayed at the Craiglynne several times, for us as an outdoorsy family it is an ideal blend of value, comfort and location. Some of the rooms may be a little tired, but they are large, clean, and facilities are good - it really works for us that they are dog friendly too. The staff are lovely and always happy to help make our stays, and part of the reason we keep going back. There is a lovely woodland area literally just opposite the hotel which is great for walking, particularly having some shelter if the weather turns inclement. Looking forward to our next stay already!!

This was my 3rd time staying at Craiglynne hotel and yes it is old and creaky, but the beds are clean and comfy, the staff are so friendly and helpful and the grounds are beautiful. For a relaxing peaceful getaway without spending a fortune, this hotel is perfect.
Paula, 2-night trip

8/10 Very good

This is quite a large hotel on the outskirts of the town. The room was very clean and had a decent shower. Staff were helpful and friendly. The building itself is old and had the feeling that it could do with some updating and refurbishment. Overall, good value for money in an expensive area.
