10 Jan 2026Had a wonderful day right before Christmas. I liked my room very much. The staff were all lovely, especially at check-in, the pub, the bar, etc. It is always been one of my favorite places to get a holiday Sunday roast with my family. I was very happy to finally stay there as a guest.

As this stay was purchased via Tesco Clubcard Rewards I was expecting the usual quality lottery, however I was pleasantly surprised. The accommodation was comfortable, clean and well located. It’s right on top of the castle which unfortunately for us was shut, so we passed our time in the local pubs and restaurants, of which there are plenty. I would definitely stay here again, but as others have suggested, have a plan about where to park
