+ves Location . It is near the city centre. -ves 1. Condition of room was poor. 2. Breakfast too basic and starts late (8 am). 3. Not value for money. You are better off staying a mile or so further off where there better options. Avoid if you can.

The Regency Guest House, Cambridge
I found the room very comfortable, clean and tidy. There was no check in as such, you get the door lock entry pass code with the confirmation email and the keys are waiting upon arrival. The breakfast was simple fayre but nonetheless very tasty. The only downfall for a long stay is the shared bathroom, and while that didn't concern me as I was staying overnight, it may be of concern to others. I would highly recommend a stay at this guest house.

Fantastic Location
Visiting friends in Cambridge, I wanted somewhere close to the train station / in the city centre. This place is perfect. My single room was compact with a shared bathroom. Entry to the hotel is via a door code as its a receptionless building. Room has very clearly been recently refurbished do everything was new, it had its own sink, TV and tea/coffee facilities. The room had a shared bathroom which was very clean. The guest house is literally on Parkers Piece so you couldn't be more central. The station is a 10-15 minute walk.

Shared bathrooms? How on earth?
Nice house in a good location. Simple codes to access the room, full automated would be a step better. Shocked to discover that despite spending £77 there were shared bathrooms per floor. Unbelievable. I didn't even realise that these places still existed. They should call it a hostel, or very basic B&B at the most. Go to a Travelodge or premier inn etc, you will be better off.
