Location is good - close to Karlsplatz, breakfast excellent, service very good, champagne always welcome, coffee available from a Nespresso type machine in reception, bed comfortable though pillows a bit thin for me, Wifi excellent.

Amazing hotel
This was the best hotel I've stayed in while abroad. It is really good value for money. The location is fantastic and you can reach all the main sights easily from the metro. The hotel is beautifully decorated, the room was big, really comfortable and the shower was amazing. The breakfast was delicious, you won't find better for the price. The staff were very polite and welcoming.

A gem of a hotel.
A really lovely place to stay. Unassuming from the outside, the interior of the hotel belies its modest exterior appearance. The staff were very friendly and the rooms were incredibly comfortable.

A top-notch stay: clean, spacious room with good quality, modern amenities, easy access on foot to Karlsplatz and old town Vienna, helpful staff. My one slight complaint is that the room was a bit too warm for my comfort and there were no temperature controls; for sleeping, I prefer a cooler environment, but this is a very subjective thing. Would definitely stay here again!

A B&B rather than a hotel
We stayed here for 3 nights in September. I’m not sure how I would describe the Saint Shermin it’s much closer to a B&B as what you get for your money is a room. You could probably stay there and have no contact with a member of staff. Reception is manned for a few hours a day and tea and coffee making facilities, along with an honesty bar can also be found there. If you visit their website where they talk about champagne then you can find this in a fridge in reception and the price starts from 15 euros a glass. We had quite a big room but the bathroom was compromised being no more than 1.5m by 1.5m. There are complimentary toiletries provided. The room was spotless and the bed was comfortable. You get a flat screen TV but those readers wanting an English speaking TV station then you will be disappointed. The view from our window was pretty awful. A combination of shutters, pipes, the kitchen of an adjacent bar and what appeared to be a wallpapered external wall. You had to crane your head to get an idea of what the weather was like. The location is good being about 10 mins walk to the opera house with loads of bars and restaurants around and only a few 00m from the Naschmarkt . If you choose not to have breakfast there is plenty of choice – even on a Sunday when many bars and restaurants don’t open.
