We were affected twice by a permanent resident who on one occasion was on the telephone to his wife in the Philippines for one hour and a half during the middle of the night, another with his television on until about four in the morning. After the complaint, the waitress completely ignored me and then the staff accused me of laughing at her. I am both hearing and visually impaired so I’m not sure what I was supposed to be laughing at. I asked her plainly the reason for her silence which was extremely rude at the breakfast table. I was accused of leaving my television on during New Year’s Day when actually my 10 year old son and I were indoors watching movies during social hours. One of the blankets in the cupboard was dirty, the beds were uncomfortable, the bedding was worn and uncomfortable. Everything included in the full breakfast was of the poorest quality and the juice was offered in the tiniest of glasses. I have only ever suffered such ill treatment once in all my journeys. My son was so upset after the ordeal he stood at the top of the stairs and cried, I had to put his breakfast in a serviette and on the 2nd of January, we were so upset, we stayed in our room until evening. They did not offer for us to move rooms when we were directly under the antisocial permanent resident and on three occasions we also smelt cannabis. This hotel is not suitable for families, I would not consider this to be a respectable hotel or bed and breakfast.
