We were in room 11 which had a
balcony over looking the small
pool and sun loungers. The
balcony is spacious with a table
and chairs and a relaxer chair.
The room itself is also spacious as
is the bathroom which has
complimentary shower gel. The
bed is large and comfortable and
the room is well lit. There is a fully
equipped kitchenette, also a

This is our (myself and my Mum) second time at the hotel and it still manages to take our breath away. We forgot how lovely the area and hotel was. The greatest aspect of arriving is walking into the hotel room and finding the curtains closed. When you open them, all you can see is blue sky, sunshine and the Atlantic Ocean...pure bliss.
This year we took advantage of the hotel's cocktail evenings, which were made even better sitting on the veranda in the sun. We were also regulars sunbathing...
I stayed at the Savoy Signature from the 7th to 10th October. The hotel is immaculate and the room size is perfect. A special thanks to Jessica Abreu who decorated our hotel room following my proposal to my girlfriend. I would happy stay again!
We stayed here for 2 weeks in June 2016 and was one of our best hotel holidays. Our room was comfortable, overlooking the pool and sea views, clean, shady balcony and very effective curtains, such that we overslept on many days! Most of the other guests appeared to be mainly a mix of older British, French and Germans which produced a civilised atmosphere and was quiet at night. Of course this might be different at other times of year. We especially enjoyed the food and range of high quality...
Our 7th visit to the beautiful Miramar /Village Hotel and each time it gets better. The setting in lush gardens sets the scene for a really relaxing time. Our room was great with spectacular sea views (we were lucky enough to see a whale blow, one afternoon) This time we ate in all four restaurants [Luigi's- Italian, A Vila- Buffet, Adego- Rustic Madeiran and the Miramar- Gourmet] as the 99 euro offer was excellent value. Wonderful watching the cruise ships come and go. Easy walking distance into Town and the marina. Great pool and grounds. Extensive breakfast choices and very friendly and helpful staff
Ideally situated near the town and lido. Had a handy kitchen area with some detergent and new cloths provided.there was a balcony with a table and chairs. Room’s cleaned daily. Reception available up to midnight. Safe available in the room but only found out it was chargeable (2 euro’s a day) on arrival as not stated in property description.
Perfect location, so close to the sea front, right in the old town, everything is walkable and pretty! Accommodation is clean and the rooms are pretty.
The hotel is in a good location near to the Lido complex and on the regular bus route into Funchal. Spotlessly clean in the room, lobby and the pool area. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would recommend.
Just back from a week at the Imperatriz (7th to 14th November) and overall found it excellent. It ticked all the boxes as regards what I wanted which was somewhere clean, comfortable, facility to make breakfast in the room, in a good location, public transit access (bus stops) nearby and reasonably priced.

The hotel is modern with all amenities, including a state of the art gym and rooftop bar and pool complex. It is well located just off the old town and opposite a large supermarket. Our one bedroom apartment was fully stocked with high quality equipment for self catering. There is a washer dryer for guest use FOC and they even provide washing and dishwashing tabs.
