This lovely historic boutique hotel is an oasis in La Paz. We were treated like family. The rooms surround is a lovely courtyard. We were there during carnival and it was completely quiet in our hotel despite being a 10 min walk to the malecon.
The restaurant had reasonably priced delicious meals. Ari and his father were extremely helpful before and during our trip.

I would absolutely recommend casa 1880 to anybody staying in La Paz. It was the perfect boutique hotel that had the best combination of a small and proper bed and breakfast and a very fancy luxury hotel. Ari and his staff are par excellence and went above and beyond, from great recommendations, to packing delicious picnic lunches for us on days we went on excursions, to just being so absolutely welcoming. The room was massive yet tasteful with all the 5 star hotel amenities one expects, and the property is gorgeous and very well done especially considering it is an historical courthouse from 1880! Will absolutely stay in Casa 1880 again next time we’re in La Paz!
