Best budget deal when an expo is on
Excellent location if you have business at the Hannover Messe - just 4 tram stops with 1 change. Beer Garden opposite was nice, as were the pizzas done at the bar if you were too tired to go outside. I booked this knowing it was a hostel arrangement and so expected things to be basic. The room was sizeable, bed, table, basin, TV and coat hangers but on the 2nd floor there were extremely limited (external) facilities and so sometimes had to go down the stairs to the first floor. Also the wifi did not work in my room although it did seem to do so in most other areas. Would have been nice if slippers were provided for nightime treks to the bathroom.

I won’t be going back here!
This hostel is a bit of trek from the centre of Hannover, but tram lines 1 + 2 both run close to the hostel. When we eventually arrived the first problem was to work out where reception was, this was not immediately apparent as they have their logo on several of the buildings – reception is in the building in the far left coroner when you go through the gate. Check in was straight forward, with English speaking receptionists on duty. Finding our room in the maze of buildings and corridors was not as straight forward. Sheets, towels and soap were provided, but the room quality was poor. The room was old, with peeling paint, damp patches and a funny smell. There was not much in the immediate area around the hostel either, apart from their own bar which does not seem to have great reviews, so we missed that one and headed back into town. I understand there is a conference centre nearby, but unless the purpose of your visit is to attend the conference centre, I’d give the hostel a miss.

Extremely basic
The room, although comparatively cheap with its neighbour but it is pretty average in terms of price. €40 per night average is travelodge money and this isn't even close to that quality. Kinda dirty sharing bathrooms with an entire floor, noisy at night and during the day wifi is woefully slow. The rooms have just been neglected I have little positive to say. If I had to pick positives? 1. There is a TV 2. There are plentiful power supplies 3. It's warm 4. It's next to the biergarten ribs place. Recommended!!! Honestly, the negatives just so far outweigh the small amount of positives. Just don't do it to yourself.

Basics done well!
This property serves a purpose. Low cost accommodation close to downtown that offers the basics at an acceptable level. WC and showers are shared and my room had a bunk bed. So I felt like it was a glorified youth hostel. But if you are on a budget and don't mind sharing, it works quite well. The adjoining restaurant is very good and offers a traditional German breakfast buffet which recommend you include with your stay.

Basic but very clean
This hotel was well above the standard that I was expecting. Stayed with 2 friends for 2 days in a 3 person room. Reception area is what you would expect from a 4* hotel. Room was basic but spotlessly clean and beds were comfortable. Clean towels provided daily. If you are looking a budget hotel for a short stay I would definitely recommend.

A basic hostel just 1.8km from the show ground
I booked the hostel blind, not knowing much about it. The price was exceptionally low, but the buildings were in good shape and it was clean everywhere. The bathrooms were communal, with quite a few on offer so it was possible to have the facility to one's self .The staff were really helpful even though they were fully booked and very busy. Breakfast had lots of variety on offer and was well presented. Just remember - this is a hostel, not a hotel.

No kitchen or eating area
Despite the hostel advertising a kitchen for hostellers there isn't one, so all the food I bought in a supermarket I had to eat cold in the dorm. There's no common room either. Also there's only wifi in reception, so if all the seats are taken tough luck.

Budget Hotel
Well what can you say about a budget hotel. My room had bunk beds and a shared bathroom. The room was very clean and everything worked. The downstairs staff, reception, and breakfast were up to other hotel standards. Location was good and the prices decent considering we were there at peak time.
