Beautiful hotel in a stunning location. Stayed in the mews which was a five minute walk from the main hotel. Spa was okay, but small. Plus there was an aqua aerobics class going on in the pool blasting Wham. Not very relaxing. Food and drink were as you'd expect from such a location. Recommended

The location of the hotel is beautiful and is set in an amazing grounds. The room is expensive for what you get. We got the basic room but it’s very small. The area is beautiful. You have to pay £20 just for gym access for each day and you can only use it once in the morning or afternoon. You can use the rest of the facilities in that time but it’s not ideal if you don’t wish to use the spa. The breakfast is terrible and I would rather use the money and get breakfast somewhere locally. I think it’s a same as it could be a really nice hotel but I think they are probably cutting too many corners as I feel the level of staff could probably be improved for this price.

Just home from an anniversary break here overall a very expensive place to stay. With all extra add ons for spa facilities which we hadn’t read admittedly before I booked as in small print further down. We upgraded our room and the bed was so uncomfortable my husband ended up sleeping on the floor his back hurt so much and mine was no better. There were ants on the window ledge on our room and bathroom tiles could do with touching up. My husband is quite a fussy eater but I’m not so much but the menus didnt take our fancy so we went out for food instead. Beautiful grounds and views which were well maintained.

Beautiful grounds and the breakfast was lovely - good quality and beautifully cooked. The staff were really lovely, accommodating and friendly. There were some very minor things that might have made the stay even better, for example, we found the temperature of the water in the spa area a little cold. We also stayed in The Mews cottages on the ground floor. The blinds were blackout which meant we had either privacy or light but couldn't have both if spending any time in the room during the day.

A wonderful stay for American in-laws. They were blown away with the beauty of the Manor and its grounds, and loved the English breakfast.

Such a beautiful building very very poorly maintained the first room we were in had plaster falling from the wall and smashed tiles in the bathroom. They changed our room and that was much nicer but still poorly maintained. The gardens are amazing and very well maintained! The bar staff didn’t know what drinks were (aperol) and was only saved by a very nice F&B manager! Dinner was great however breakfast was terrible with a long queue after being told to book for 09.30 we stood in line for 20 mins and no table was available then no pastries at all and asked if I would like toast after my breakfast arrived. Reception was not manned in the morning and the person manning reception when he had clearly returned from his cigarette wasn’t helpful at all! In summary a lovely location building and grounds with some to the worst Maintenece I’ve seen in years and I travel globally every week and totally understaffed with the trained and the untrained!!
