Very welcoming gentleman on the bar to check me in, rooms were perfect, warm and well presented with a great breakfast tray.
One great thing for me is that they trust you with proper clothes hangers, not the silly ones that don't allow you to unhook the hook like you get in bigger hotels, nice touch lol
Great location, ideal car park across the road (pay & display)
Highly recommend this place.

The host is on hand and helpful, advised us of great local walks, which we would have been unaware of.
An immaculately clean and comfortable property.
Our dog was welcome.
Great to see the local wildlife - bats flying around in the evenings, in addition to birds and the hosts own sheep at the bottom of the enclosed garden.
The only slight negative comment is that we found the WiFi was slow.
Would definitely choose to stay here again.

4 tips for savvy savings when booking a hotel in Lancaster
Book for the cheapest times: The most budget-friendly months to visit Lancaster are January, October, and November, when hotel prices tend to be lower. For those looking to explore the city's rich history and cultural offerings, a stay of at least 2 to 3 days is recommended. During this time, visitors can enjoy key landmarks such as the impressive castle, the vibrant theatre scene, and the historic university, all while indulging in great dining options and family-friendly entertainment. This makes for an affordable getaway that offers great value for money.
Look for last-minute deals on Hotels.com: To discover last-minute deals to Lancaster on Hotels.com, begin by exploring the Dealsopens in new window or Last-Minute Dealsopens in new window sections, where you may find discounted hotel rates as your travel date approaches. Additionally, consider enabling email alerts or push notifications from Hotels.com to stay informed about flash sales and exclusive promotions, ensuring you don't miss potential savings. The Smart Shoppingopens in new window tool, available via the app, allows you to compare hotel prices and amenities, so if prices drop or rooms become available, you could be among the first to book your last-minute escape.
Be flexible with dates: Prices may fluctuate depending on factors such as the hotel's location, star rating, and the time of year, so having some flexibility with your travel dates might help you find a better deal on your stay in a Lancaster hotel. For those in search of something a bit different, boutique hotels can provide a more personalised experience and occasionally offer better value. When you book through Hotels.com, we will inform you if the price for your chosen dates is above or below the average. If the price is on the higher side, we can suggest alternative dates that might be more affordable, assisting you in your search for a good value.
Consider your location: Hotels located near the city centre usually tend to be more expensive; however, with Lancaster’s superb public transport links, you might discover a more affordable independent hotel situated further out that remains well connected. For those eager to explore alternative, less crowded neighbourhoods or even lesser-known nearby towns, there is often excellent value for money to be found. Opting for these alternative destinations could provide a more authentic and budget-friendly experience.
