The young lady on reception went out of her way to help me get a meal as the nearby restaurant was closed and there was nowhere nearby that I could reach on foot. We conquered the language barrier and I was able to have a meal delivered. Excellent service.

Ideal situation close to the station but easy walking distance to centre of town. Very helpful all round.

We stayed here in July for one night and it was like being invited to a house party. The welcome could not have been friendlier. The accommodation was perfect and the little terrace was bathed with early evening sunshine, very pleasant. The Air con was very welcome later though. We didn't have the evening meal but it smelled delicious!! Breakfast was exactly what we needed. it was ideal and a lovely change from a chain hotel. Thanks, A little Gem!!

Lovely hotel, lovely staff and lovely town. Only let down was Expedia who said the booking included ‘free parking’, it didn’t!

Very handy stop 1 mile from motorway exit. Pool to cool off the family. Good size of room and bathroom with walk in shower. Food was exceptional for such a small place (@ 20 rooms). Set menu with 1/2/3 course options or à la carte. Breakfast has good choice of self service options, including hot dishes. Reception by owner and his wife as chef means they really are invested in your stay. Add this place to good stops on a drive to/from Spain.
