Hilton Southampton - Utilita Bowl
"We initially booked this hotel because the photos featured a swimming pool. Upon arrival, however, we learned the pool isn't included in the booking as it's managed independently by another company for an extra fee. While we were willing to pay, we then discovered our young daughter wasn't allowed access, which was a major disappointment for our family. The standard room was quite disappointing for a Hilton property, showing visible stains on the carpet and noticeable wear and tear. It was bad enough that we requested a room change; upgrading to a Junior Suite made a world of difference and was much nicer. Breakfast was average. The bacon was tough to eat, and the fresh fruit lacked flavor. On a positive note, the dining staff were exceptionally warm, welcoming, and friendly. If you enjoy cricket or golf, the location is a real highlight. Our room featured a lovely balcony overlooking the cricket pitch, allowing us to watch a live game during our stay. Reception staff were generally professional, though a few felt a bit cold. Overall, without the Junior Suite upgrade, the hotel feels rather average."
ibis budget Portsmouth
"The room was clean and quiet, which we were especially happy about. The only small problem was that the room was booked for 2 people and only one set of towels was provided in the room. But the reception quickly fixed the problem."
Portsmouth Marriott Hotel
"We stayed before Uni graduation. The drive into Portsmouth is easy. Portchester Castle is nearby, which is a great place to visit. Nice hotel. Quiet rooms. Good parking."
New Place
"Lovely hotel , great staff will definitely be back soon for another stay"
Holiday Inn Express Portsmouth - Gunwharf Quays by IHG
"Cleaner was too enthusiastic to clean our room on check out day."
Solent Hotel and Spa
"We had a great stay here. The staff were friendly and informative. We would happily return for another visit."
Holiday Inn Express Portsmouth - North by IHG
"A very nice hotel of this type. Our room was really big, the hotel was clean and the staff were helpful. Breakfast was good."
Holiday Inn Express Southampton M27 Jct7 by IHG
"Good stay. Very busy school holidays"
Holiday Inn Portsmouth by IHG
"Clean room, comfortable beds, fans provided for hot room. Issue with hand set not working for TV, dealt with promptly. Had problems at breakfast. Poor breakfast offering, food in deep bowls on a hot plate and when explained food was cold was told to stir the bowl and take the food from the bottom, but by that time, I had put up with the cold food. Coffee machine not working properly. and when dealt with, the amount of coffee in the latte was more like warm milk with very little coffee. This is a nice hotel and was happy with the room, but would not take breakfast in the future for which they were charging £16.95 each person as this was poor value for a cold breakfast."
