"Stunning property. Owners lovely. We stayed here for one of the live at Ludlow events. Breakfast on point. Attention to detail and decor is very stylish. You have to hand your key in when you go out. Door is locked after pub closing hours so just something to bear in mind as you have to call emergency number for access after this. Make sure you prebook a taxi if staying here for an event in Ludlow. We will be back to try more of the gorgeous food!"

Cromwell's Tap House

10/10 Excellent
"My husband and I had a great stay here for our anniversary weekend. The room was great value compared to other local hotels, ideal location in the centre of Shrewsbury and staff were very friendly and welcoming. The discount off food and drink in the pub was a nice bonus! The super king double room was great and had almost everything we needed. It was a little run down in places but was mainly just a quirky older building which was fun. We didn’t have any issues with noise, there was just a bit of noise from people walking outside towards the end of the night but nothing crazy. We would definitely stay here again and recommend to others."

Stourport Manor Hotel

Stourport Manor Hotel

8/10 Good
"Nice independent run hotel at about the level of a Holiday Inn. Rooms are an adequate size for two to share. Some of the exterior is it showing its age around the back facing on to the sports facilities which are apparently not maintained to a level to currently in use. Restaurant evening menu and bar have a wide selection of options, and the morning breakfast buffet has a good wide selection. There is also a range of good restaurants and pubs within a short distance if you don't want to use the on-site offering. Would I stay again? Yes."

  3. Be flexible with dates: Prices may fluctuate due to factors such as the hotel's location, star rating, and the time of year, so having some flexibility with your travel dates could assist you in finding a more economical option for your stay in a Ludlow hotel. For those seeking distinctive accommodations, boutique hotels often provide a more personalised experience and might offer better value. 4. Consider your location: Choosing accommodation closer to key attractions or city centres may provide convenience, but it often comes with a higher price tag. For those seeking more affordable options, it’s worth considering hotels in less central areas or neighbourhoods, striking a balance between cost and accessibility to the sights you wish to explore. You may find that independent hotels located a bit further out are usually more likely to be affordable, offering a more authentic and budget-friendly experience.
