We were made to feei special from the moment we arrived. The staff throughout the castle were amazing. Always there to help us. The rooms were so comfortable and everything was high standards. The food we had was lovely. The breakfast we had included continental and cooked food. All gorgeous. I really cant fault this gorgeous place. I hope to return

The building is beautiful. I stayed in the Little Budworth room, the bed was very comfy and the room had old world charm with a beautiful view of the chapel.
I needed a phone charger and the lady on reception brought one up for me and would not take a tip, she was lovely.
I didn't see any facilities for room service, but that's not saying they didn't.

This property was one of a kind!!! Absolutely amazing!! Staying overnight in a castle, felt like royalty :) Ate at the brasserie, excellent food and service. Only down side, couldn’t turn heat on in our room, a bit cold
Walking through corridors in a castle was exciting!!

A unique venue in a quiet rural environment , quaint rooms, quality dining. Well worth a visit and definitely a fantastic venue for weddings and relaxing stays.
We stayed for one night that clashed with a taster event for couples with weddings booked or planned. Early evening we sat outside and struggled to get a drink.
The restaurant was excellent for dinner and breakfast, although running out of veg & the need for supplementary charges on menu even for coffee is strange.

Fantastic venue, room was stunning, staff were amazing. The only downside was the Wine Cellar bar was closed and we had been told to go to by friends. The 1851 Restaurant was superb, the food was top class.
All around, would recommend highly a visit.

Absolutely stunning
Excellent check in, beautiful old castle room, comfortable stay & delicious breakfast, although a closer eye on hot food stocks would help - I ate breakfast in parts as no eggs out.

Style over service
Wedding guest and booked a standard room at £200+ per night. Checking in slow and complicated (hotels.com
Booking) Lovely venue and very unique but bed was soooo uncomfortable and rock hard! Bathroom was also a bit tatty and needed an upgrade/better shower screens as taking a shower meant water everywhere and a bit dangerous. Some of the event staff were a bit rude/inexperienced and breakfast the next day was a 40 minute wait (the staff on that morning were lovely but clearly not enough of them/kitchen overwhelmed with orders which when they arrived weren’t that great tbh. Paying for the venue style rather than the services tbh and tbh, would have had a better night’s sleep and breakfast at a Premier inn for 1/3 of the cost.
