A lovely, peaceful room in the hosts’ garden (it does what it says on the tin!). The cool patio seating area was most welcome in the heatwave and the room provided everything we needed for a short stay, with excellent quality furnishings. Breakfast was delightful, and we wished we could stay a little bit longer. Thank you to Janine for sharing your home with us, it was very much what we needed after a long journey.

What a lovely place to stay, family run and full of beautiful nooks, including in the garden. We thought we’d just be there to sleep and then go adventuring during the day but I’d like to go back and sit in the garden with my book 😊

Strongly recommend the coach house for a family. Nice country walk just across the street and lovely food in the pub. Will keep this in mind as a halfway point down to Devon and Cornwall.

A lovely stay at the Pembroke Arms. There was plenty of free parking to the rear of the Inn. Reception was efficient and friendly. Our room - two double beds so for four people - was large and comfortable with lovely touches like TeaPig teas and ground coffee. The room itself was quite cold but reception turned the heating up for us and it was a really cold day so no complaints.
We ate in the hotel that evening - a really nice restaurant and delicious (massive) pies.

We stayed at the Chapter House for two nights (Friday and Saturday) as a base to visit Salisbury and the surrounding area and attend the Darkness into Light Advent Service at the cathedral on Saturday evening.
The hotel is perfectly located for exploring the town and just a few minutes' walk from the cathedral.
The staff were wonderful; friendly and attentive and happy to chat.

For an enriching experience that covers the city’s significant landmarks, history, and culture, a stay of at least 2 to 3 days is recommended. During this time, you can explore the stunning cathedral, historical monuments, and picturesque countryside, as well as enjoy birdwatching along the river. This period offers great value for money, allowing you to immerse yourself in Salisbury's charm while engaging with its friendly locals and rich heritage.
Look for last-minute deals on Hotels.com: To discover last-minute deals for hotels in Salisbury, begin by exploring the Dealsopens in new window or Last-Minute Dealsopens in new window sections on Hotels.com, where you may find discounted rates as your travel date approaches. Consider enabling email alerts or push notifications from Hotels.com to stay informed about flash sales and special last-minute promotions, helping you seize opportunities for savings. Be flexible with dates: Prices can fluctuate depending on various factors such as the hotel's location, star rating, and the time of year, so being flexible with your travel dates may help you find a better deal on your stay in a hotel in Salisbury. For those seeking distinctive accommodations, boutique hotels often provide a more personalised experience and can sometimes offer better value. When you book through Hotels.com, we’ll inform you whether the price for your chosen dates is above or below the average. If the price seems a bit steep, we may suggest alternative dates that could be more affordable, assisting you in your search for a good rate.
Consider your location: Hotels situated near the city centre usually tend to be more expensive, but thanks to Salisbury's superb public transport connections, you may discover a more affordable independent hotel a bit further out that remains well linked. For those keen to explore alternative, less crowded neighbourhoods or even lesser-known nearby towns, there is often excellent value for money to be found.
