I am biased with Bridlington. It's my happy place, the fact it has seen better days means nothing to me. Plenty to do in the area. I go at least once a year, and met loads of lovely people, great restaurants seen loads of wildlifeand walked miles.

Beautifully clean beach, and clean streets, and close to lovely surrounding countryside. Also a good market and small local businesses. It felt safe. Hard to find a pub that was not either a sports bar, noisy or full of yappy dogs

A really decent holiday location. Loved the beaches and harbour, and the old town. Some areas are less attractive but that goes for many places.

Getting a taxi in the evening was more difficult - tried 4 separate taxi firms who were quoting waits of 45 min before could provide a car. Fortunately, managed to find taxi waiting in a layby. And this was mid-March. So plan ahead & prebook!
"This was a peaceful place to stay as a good base for visiting the coast for a few days. The staff were lovely, the pod and bathroom were very clean. "
