Lovely village and comfortable hotel.
Lovely wee village and setting. Parking on street right outside the hotel. Friendly, helpful service from everyone. Great big bed in our room and nice en-suit (although the macerator in the toilet was quite noisy) Food in their restaurant excellent standard.

Great 1 night stay 👌
The room was small, but comfortable, done the job for us to sleep & shower in. The view however, was a roof and trees. Breakfast was delicious and served hot. The staff were all friendly and always had a smile on there faces.

Lovely stay, very friendly staff. Just a note if you like staying out late it is a pub and it works around pub opening hours, don’t panic and call the number on your room key they’ll open up for you.

Want to avoid the hustle and bustle of Edinburg? Stay just a bit outside to the south east as we did. The staff is quite friendly and the accommodations are clean and comfortable, while very humble and quaint. Extremely small town charm is evident everywhere.

We arrived just after 4 PM and there was no parking whatsoever, but the landlady actually moved her car for us so we could park which was very thoughtful and appreciative. The room was small with a comfy bed. The breakfast in the morning was delicious, a proper Scottish breakfast!

This property should never be advertised as a 4star. There was nothing worthy of that kind of rating. Did Expedia personally vet this property?

Stopover on way home from holiday at Linton hotel was really good. Staff great from the very start, the lady behind bar moved her car so we could park outside hotel with our luggage. Room over looking front of hotel really nice, quiet even though main thoroughfare out front, comfortable bed, en suite modern, decor in room good. Breakfast tasty. Would certainly stay again.

We arrived at the hotel limited on road parking.we checked in an paid for our room we where given directions to the room which was on the third floor with the smallest bathroom I have ever seen the light in the bathroom kept switching it’s self of and flickering as well ,the bed just fitted into the alcove with maybe a foot either side making it difficult to get in and out off. There was no headboard and view was over looking the road and railway line .we had to open the window as it was warm so it was a little noisy when the trains went by We went out early the next day came back at around 6pm and the room had not been serviced and nothing was replenished so no coffee or toiletries.the food on our first evening was ok but breakfast was very limited four cereals toast or a Scottish breakfast which had no sausage it was not very tasty and pretty unappealing we didn’t bother going down the next morning and had a lay in until the room next door woke us,breakfast was only served 7.30/8.30am .We had just done a road trip staying in 5 properties over 10 days and this Hotel was the biggest disappointment and the most expensive.

Great Hotel
We really enjoyed our night in the Linton Hotel, the staff and locals were very friendly and made us very welcome. The food was excellent. The bar was nice and well stocked. The room was OK, a bit tired but fine for us. It was around 40 minutes from Edinburgh Airport. Will stay there again, the village looked very interesting.
