DIY for Comfort Hotel
I checked in at around local time 3pm, though room was given pretty fast but much to my dismay, the carpet was very dirty. As housekeeping has left for the day, I waited for about an hour for the room to be cleaned. I requested for iron and iron board to iron my ballrooms gowns to be used for the dance competitions. Hotel staff cited safety reasons that I have to bring my gowns to the common area to iron, gosh! The common area turned out to be the dining area in the basement with food stench and ironing board are placed in between dining tables. How am I going to iron my ballroom gowns with the gowns flowing onto the floor of the dining area. In the end, they allowed me to bring iron to my room but not the ironing board, again cited safety reason. Iron allowed but not the board! Safety? To make it more miserable for me, the boiling kettle was stained with greenish fur and rust on the electric filament. The extension plug socket was sticky and stained too. The floor carpet was torn at the side near the wall and hotel placed a rectangular rug to cover the tear. Shortly after I checked in, I tripped few times over the rug as it peeled up at the corners. There was no holder in the shower room to place bath soap. I was absolutely uncomfortable that night. How am I going to stay two weeks in this room? The next day, I bought new kettle, beach towel to replace the rug and new extension plug. Only commendable was breakfast service staff Debbie, she smiling and attentive

When we arrived we were greeted by a group of young boys running riot, which was not great when checking in. When enquiring about parking throughout our stay we were told that they were gone. Which was disappointing and the listing was misleading. We then had to park in the shopping centre every night. When we arrived our room was 3 flights up. We had no offer of help or anything. The room was stuffy and extremely hot, so much so we didn’t sleep. We then ended up having to buy a fan, which wasn’t budgeted for on our first morning. The window was little bigger than an a4 paper, so very little air could come through. So much so we tried to book another hotel when we got to our room, which we were unable too. Due to the room and other residents I suffered multiple panic attack’s, which ruined our trip. Also to top it off when we arrived there appeared to be two brown skid marks on the top duvet which wasn’t the most welcoming. However we didn’t ask staff as the few times we did ask about things it did seem like we weren’t wanted and that customers didn’t matter

Good 6.0
Very close to the town centre.
Cold room no heating whatsoever.Thin duvet no blanket, had to ask at reception for one.The "Heath Robinson"contraption rigged up in the bath i.e.rubber hoses attached to the taps, was downright dangerous as to try and adjust the temperature was time wasting,in the end Igave up.I am surprised that this is in use in a commercial premises.I asked for a rubber mat for the bath;I am 79 and a bit unsteady on my feet; as there was no handrail.I was told they did not do them,I "Quote due to health & safety"Just us the cloth bath mat.

Very disappointing
Disappointing. Very noisy in the hotel afternoon, evening and breakfast., due to a very large group of arriving guests. No control in the hotel. Service is very low level with no management presence. Breakfast service was absent. Had to go looking for someone to order food from and when arrived was poor. Only takes cash too so had to go looking for a cash machine. Overall a disappointing stay.

Exceptional 10.0
Excellent place to stay
We had the honeymoon suite. A double bed with a desk and an amour. More room than I was expecting for Blackpool. The place is clean and quiet. The staff is very helpful. I would stay there again for sure. I have been to many small hotels in blackpool in the past. This is one of the best.
