My wife and I were made very welcome by Alison, friendly, quick check in and keen to help with anything. As was the lady that did breakfast which was really nice.
As it is advertised as a "Boutique" B&B, we didn't feel that the room was anything different from other 'ordinary' pub B&B's that we've stayed in, small bedroom, the toilet seat was loose, as was the toilet roll holder and when I mentioned this on leaving, it was said that they were aware of it but it hadn't been fixed, which was a bit surprising.
I think the key bit of feedback for me was that, on arrival, we were informed that we had to pay a £50 deposit in case of any damage during our stay, due to the fact that they had suffered damage from previous guests - I understand that, however, I think that should be made clear on booking e.g. what if people didn't have the additional £50? We were told that it would be refunded, hopefully by the next day but it actually took 3 days for the money to be refunded into our account.
Other than that, an enjoyable stay.
