Enjoyed a great overnight stay at The Inn Place last weekend. The location was brilliant - a short walk from the train station and perfect for accessing the castle where we were watching a concert that night. The hotel itself was clean, well maintained and very comfortable and the staff were friendly and helpful. I’d absolutely recommend The Inn Place and will definitely stay there again when I next return to Edinburgh

We liked the location that was near, but not in the middle of the tourist area. Very convenient to train station. Room was quiet and curtains made it dark for sleeping. Shower and other plumbing were good. Room was spacious and had a cute little nook with windows overlooking an alley down below. It was, of course, very pricey for all this.

I was at The Inn Place during the Fringe so I imagine prices were inflated. If not then at £330 a night for a 3⭐️ hotel it’s overpriced. Average style. Good pillows, hard mattress. Decent bathroom (I had the disabled suite not sure why). Erratic room service. But perfectly nice staff although a bored welcome! Best thing is the location. Go to the Press Room next door for 5⭐️ breakfast and coffee!

Only downside, which changes our review from 5 stars to 4 stars, is that the toilet facilities and shower had very weak water pressure. The staff explained that it was due to old pipes in the building.

The hotel was exceptionally clean, from the lobby to the rooms, which made the entire experience feel comfortable and well cared for. The location is unbeatable; only about a 3‑minute walk from Waverley Train Station and just 2 minutes from the Royal Mile. It made exploring the city incredibly easy, and being so close to the station was especially convenient for arrival and departure. The staff were extremely friendly, warm, and helpful throughout my stay. Every interaction felt genuine, and they were always ready to assist with anything I needed. The room itself was comfortable, the bed was great, and the shower had excellent water pressure. Overall, it’s a place that combines cleanliness, convenience, and great service in the heart of Edinburgh. I would happily stay here again.

My son and I had a great stay at The Inn Place. The location is fantastic. Tucked into Cockburn street, close to coffee, shops, and narrow closes up to the Royal Mile- it was a dream. We got a double twin room and I was nervous about the size because they look quite small in the pictures, but our room was perfect. The room was also very quiet, which was nice after bustling days. It was a little warm and the staff gave us a fan which solved that immediately. I would absolutely stay here again and I do hope we can come back some day!

Excellent staff made dealing with last minute plans, very easy. They upgraded our room and provided us with excellent information. The hotel is next to everything and you get a discount for using the coffee shop next store which was excellent. They are also about a 7 minute walk from the airport train and bus. The only issue we had is that one wall, behind the elevator, was very thin and we could hear the people arguing next store. In fairness, they were yelling but we did not her anything from any of the other walls. Would stay again.
