Nice welcome when we first arrived, shown to our room which was clean and comfortable, however, the bathroom in room 5 was very small, with a toilet sounding like the ones on a plane, and not comfortable. Breakfast was good, with a good choice. Overall a nice place, but over the top with ornaments.

Great welcome here and well-equipped room. Very helpful and caring hosts make you feel "at home". Location is perfect ... on the edge of town, opposite the museum, and an easy walk to many restaurants and shops, including great fish and chips at Whites. Room 3, however, is better for one than two, having limited space around the bed and a lock, unlock, lock, unlock precess to use the bathroom down the corridor. Bathroom is not serviced during visit. The "quilt" is unusually heavy and firm.

Whether it’s a staging post on a longer journey or a base to explore, Ammonite Lodge is perfect. The rooms are spotless , comfortable and contains great products and facilities. The owners are incredibly welcoming- running the house seems as much a matter of love as well as business. We cannot fault the place and look forward to our next stay!
