Lovely Amsterdam in the Autumn
We had a slight upgrade to a room in an annexe of 4 in a separate building without any extra charge. The staircase was steep but the room was adequate but tired and in need of redecoration. The area was very good near the Rijksmuseum and bars, restaurants etc. The hop on hop off bus and boats were all nearby.

Pretty Good, Basic Hotel
Overall - it was a great hotel. Not the best one we’ve ever stayed in and not the “newest” either, you can tell the accomodations haven’t been refurbished in a while and stuff is pretty basic for the high price one pays but to be fair; Amsterdam hotels are not cheap anyways. The staff was great! They even gave us a room upgrade at check-in and provided us with a Deluxe Room versus a Standard Double we had booked. There’s one thing that bothered us and that’s that they have a late-check-out policy which is nice, until you find out the night before that you have to pay it immediately or first thing next morning: it kind of defeats the purpose of “sleeping in” if we have to rise early to pay something that could reasonably be paid by check-out. Anyways, again, not a bad hotel. 4/5.

Couples first holiday to Amsterdam
The hotel itself was nice, check-in and out was easy and the bags could be placed in holding whilst we waited for check in. However the bed was uncomfy and two beds placed today. The bath room also smelt of sewage wasn't sure if this was cause our room was on the bottom floor. The TV also didn't work. Although we wasn't that bothered as wasn't in the room much to care to complain.

Would definitely recommend!
Really great location right near the Ruks museum, easy to walk anywhere but also just as easy to jump on a tram and get around the city. Fab restaurants all around the area. We didn’t have breakfast at the hotel but this did look nice and good value. Would recommend!
