I stayed three nights here in September 2026 and would stay again in a heartbeat. The hotel was clean and close to the museum district, the room was quiet, the A/C worked, and the breakfast was hot and delicious. But the best of thing of all was the staff. They were very helpful and kind.

The location is fantastic. Literally right next door to the Rijksmuseum. Our room overlooked the street which I liked. There were large, beautiful windows that you could open. There’s a restaurant on site, though we didn’t really use it. There are plenty of restaurants and shopping within 10-15 minutes walking. I would definitely stay here again

The room itself was clean but having to go through a QR code hidden on a slip of paper in the room to request a turnover and clean towels made the whole idea of it being a "boutique" hotel laughable. They also cancelled our cards before our checkout time. So when I returned after a museum I had to go down to the check-in desk and ask to be let back in. The area is good for museums and transport links but I would not recommend this hotel, there are hotels of similar quality in the same area for much cheaper.

Great location in easy walking distance to the museums, canal boats, and to the tram or metro. Love the little touches of water and snacks provided! Rooms were small but comfortable. Only issue is the set of steps from the street level to the lobby…hard to navigate with a suitcase. But once inside there are elevators! Will definitely stay here again!!!

We loved our stay at Leonardo hotel! The location was great, not in the busy/noisy dam square area. It’s in the museum district so you have tons of great cafe’s and shopping around. The front staff was great about answering my question from transportation to recommendations for breakfast. The only thing is you have to request the room to be cleaned everyday online, which is fine but just another thing to do. Staff was great about letting us keep our luggage until time for check in. The property is also very beautiful from the outside. Highly recommend this place!

the location is simply perfect and the staff too. the hotel is right next to the museum, surrounded by great shops, and you can easily walk to some of the nicest areas of amsterdam. the staff is also lovely and always very helpful. but i have to agree with many other reviews: the rooms are tiny, much smaller than they look in the photos. definitely keep this in mind if you’re traveling with a lot of luggage. even two people with two carry-ons would already feel quite tight, and there isn’t much space to hang or store clothes. the bathroom, on the other hand, is surprisingly spacious, with a great shower and plenty of hot water. the bed and pillows were very comfortable, and i had no issues with cleanliness. i would definitely stay here again. i’d rather travel with less luggage and stay somewhere this good and well located than compromise on location for a bigger room.

Underwhelming. Had to move rooms after the first night as the Aircon was excessively loud. Second room has a strange smell from the shower drain. Rooms looked quite tired, loads of scraoes in the walls. Good location for the museum and avoids the areas with loads of drunk tourists. But no restaurant or bar, and breakfast was a key down
