Very helpful host.
Kerinda, the owner, goes out of her way to make sure guests are happy. She is extremely knowledgeable about the area and has lots of suggestions. Takes the trouble to remember your kid's names. Great breakfast too.

Kerinda was a wonderful hostess. She was very knowledgeable of the local area. She went out of her way to be helpful and made several great suggestions of places to visit along the coast traveling to our next location. Breakfast was very good, especially the eggs benedict. The room and bathroom were very large. Although the B & B is in a neighborhood, it was quiet.

Nette Gastgeberin, Zimmer sauber, Betten sehr gut aber Haus schon sehr alt genau wie die Ausstattung. Lage für kleine Wanderungen ok, Entfernung zu Restaurants ebenfalls gut. Frühstück gut, Joghurt , Müsli, O Saft alles vorhanden.

Delighted with location and stay - perfect!
We have just come home from a delightful stay at Fernleigh. The lady owner was absolutely fantastic and couldn’t do more to make sure that we had a good stay and knew things to do in the local area. We stayed in the triple room with an additional bed as we were a 2a and 2x family. We were all comfortable and slept well. Had a fab evening all snuggled in bed watching a film on Netflix as it was terribly windy and cold. Great breakfast (continental was included but she would happily do a cooked for a small extra sum). Included: croissants (jam), toast (butter), cereal, yoghurts and fruit. Great location close in Lynton to access activities on foot. Ideas of the location area: cliff railway down to Lynmouth: free museum about the flood in 1952, gorge museum and walk, children’s playground with zip wire (free), shops, sweet shop with local fudge (yum), fish and chips, beach. Great cafes with well priced sandwiches. Up in Lynton there is an arts and crafts shop in an old church - fab! Old cinema which shows 2 films per day. The Picnic Box was fab and made us sandwiches and a salad for our day trip home (also do scones/jam/cream - yum!). Food and shops too. Fab view of the sea from next to the church too. I would highly recommend Lynton and Lynmouth as an area to visit. Also in the local area - valley of the rocks (views/walks) and Dunster (National trust). Fernliegh topped our mini break off perfectly and we couldn’t have been more pleased with our stay! Thanks!

Hidden away little gem.
Booked this last minute and had a very warm welcome. Corinda could not have been more accommodating. We were given a lovely apart/room. Very comfortable bed. Lovely and warm. Great location walking distance to local pub and restaurants.Would stay again.

Great value accommodation in lovely Lynton. Welcoming and enthusiastic host. Just a shame about the really squeaky floorboards above our room (no.3) and being kept awake by a loud coughing person during the night.
