"The place is very centrally located in the heart of downtown San Francisco. While the area is prepared for petty crime potential it felt very safe. The hotel is a beautiful historic building, definitely needs some attention, but very clean.
The staff are extraordinarily kind and helpful."

"It was noisy because of events, construction and traffic on the street, but I still had a good stay here. I enjoyed walking the neighborhoods of Chinatown, Fisherman's Wharf, and the Embarcadero, and bought groceries from a nearby Safeway."

"Great stay, clean, quiet room with amenities like a noise machine and a very quiet quasi-refrigerator, quality water pressure, three speed fan. Check-in desk staff was particularly helpful when I needed them. This is a 4 star hotel for a reason. The location is wonderful for those who want to take public transportation on buses, trains, trollies, cable cars and ferries. All within walking distance. Did I mention there is a nice view of the bay from the rooms with a balcony? Recommended for...

Excellent little motel, in a perfect location. Free Car parking was a bonus. We left our car there and used the public transportation to get around which was excellent. Beds were comfortable and rooms were cleaned on a daily basis. The staff members at the front desk were helpful and friendly.

What a great location only a few minutes drive from Golden Gate Bridge and on bus route 28 into Fisherman’s Wharf. We had a courtyard room which, although it was cosy, was all we needed for a couple of nights in San Francisco. The bed was really comfortable and the room and bathroom were spotlessly clean. Being able to park our car on site and not worry about it being safe was a bonus.
We would highly recommend this quirky hotel with a friendly welcome. We’d happily stay again.

Grear one night stay. Rooms appear to be recentlt upgraded and was very clean and fresh. Plenty of hot water when showering and bed was super comfy and massive. Special thanks to Ash, the receptionist who went above and beyond his normal duties to assist us.

The hotel is great for a few days in san francisco. It sits on a fairly busy street but the public transport is very handy. Breakfast isn't up to much but it's more than most provide. There are loads of good shops, bars and restaurants within a few minutes walk. Every member of staff we encountered was helpful and polite.

We were a bit worried when we arrived that the area outside the hotel was crazy busy and full of loud cars, bikes and music… but we had read a top tip to request a courtyard room and so actually our room was super quiet and relaxing and a nice break from the chaos of fisherman’s wharf.
Restaurant breakfast was delicious but there’s also a latam coffee shop on the corner of the block directly behind the hotel who do amazing pastries.

This hotel is lovely and well located. The hotel deco is very fun, spacious rooms, comfy bed, great service, decent breakfasts and the best thing is the wine reception which is a fantastic touch (this was our fav part of the stay!)
The hotel is located 10min walk from Union Sq and the subway station. You’ll have a good selection of restaurants and shops nearby.

For those seeking something a bit different, boutique hotels often provide a more personalised experience and may offer better value. When you book through Hotels.com, we will inform you if the price for your chosen dates is above or below the average. If the price appears to be on the higher side, we can suggest alternative dates that might help you uncover a better deal.
Consider your location: Opting for accommodation nearer to key attractions or city centres may offer convenience, but it often comes with a higher price tag. For more budget-friendly options, consider hotels located in less central areas or neighbourhoods, striking a balance between cost and ease of access to the sites you wish to visit. You might also look into independent hotels situated a bit further out, which are usually more likely to be affordable and can provide a more authentic experience.
