A charming property with really attentive and friendly staff. The building itself is attractive with some old world quirk and fantastic Mountain views. The breakfast and dining options were really good - not too fancy but good quality and well cooked. I’d recommend a stay here.

Excellent stay at Peterstone last night, comfy and welcoming rooms with glorious views and excellent food too. Special mention to the staff for being so great with catering for my husband’s coeliac disease too - thank you!

Peterstone Court is a friendy, hospitable and comfortable place to stay. I cannot praise the staff and the food highly enough. Unfortunately, the facilities in the room I occupied left a lot to be desired. To start wtih, the layout of the room was inconvenient in that the bathroom and clothes storage were at ground level, while the excellent bed was upstairs! This was not at all convenient (or safe) at 2 o'clock in the morning for an 85 year old! The bathroom was clean and fully equipped with bath etc. but badly lacking in safety aspects. The shower was over the bath, but there was no grab handle to assist with balance problems and no rubber mat to ensure no slippage. These factors ensured that I could not take a shower during the two days I was there.

Picturesque views of the surrounding Brecon hills. The hotel has a nice bar, lounge and various dining areas all with traditionally styles with roaring fire places. Amazing service from all of the staff.

Cracking dog-friendly high quality stay

We had a lovely stay for a weekend at Peterstone Court. The location, about mid-way between Talybont and Brecon, is fantastic for easy access to the hills as well as town. The hotel has ample free parking. The room and service were top notch, with hearty breakfast options included and a decent quality (though not cheap) dinner available. We opted for one dinner at the hotel and another out in Brecon and will likely do the same on a future visit. The hot-tub, sauna and gym were empty apart from ourselves in the evenings during our stay and made for a great relaxing break. If I had to pick one thing that could be improved I'd say the spa area was a bit tired, but it won't stop me rebooking and using them again. Well recommended to stay for special occasions.

Hotel and location absolutely stunning! The River Usk is a stones throw and the beautiful Monmouthshire and Brecon canal is an easy and scenic walk away. Service warm, friendly and helpful. Evening meal was outstanding too!

Neely perfect!!

Fab in every way - staff, food, location, rooms, cleanliness, rooms, beautiful bedding, but there was a faulty heating pump which kept us awake until 2230 and started again at 0630. This was out of the ordinary however.

We were lucky enough to be upgraded on arrival for a two night stay. Beautiful views of the Brecon Beacons from a lovely room with two comfortable settees writing desk etc. We found the staff to be friendly and welcoming and this seemed to rub off on the guests making us all friendly too! The only thing to improve our stay would have been had there been an indoor pool to go with the spa facilities

Great service, location and food. Altogether a fantastic charming hotel with tender care.

6/10 Good

Recent stay

It was ok Service was poor in that each time I needed anything, I had to find a member of staff

6/10 Good

A disappointing return

A disappointing return - not to the standard of an earlier visit. This time we were in a coach house room which included many, many flies, no useable windows (one behind a stairwell and the other inaccessible and with a blind permanently closed) so denied the stunning views offered by the location. And a five minute wait for tepid water in the taps. The restaurant experience was also not ideal with two items ordered never arriving. On mentioning these issues the following morning we were given the price of the meal as a discount - though this was only done after it appeared the restaurant hadn't added the bill to my room and i suggested keeping it that way would be appropriate in the circumstances.

8/10 Very good

Great stay

The staff were brilliant, very polite an attentive. The room was OK, the walls are very thin, we could here the office staff and neibours talking, not very romantic. The location is excellent.

top quality hotel in a great Brecon location

Sunny weekend, we got the most from a great country location w ith outdoor pool. Rooms were big and very comfortable. Restaurant service and food were very good. We will definitely return here.

Great for special treat

Overall a great place to stay. Clean and comfortable, lovely large bedroom with great views. Location great for walking. Only a few problems. We stayed 3 nights and the menu did not change and the choice of extra vegetables was limited. The music in the dining/breakfast room was always the same, we had to ask for it to be turned down on the last morning. The bathroom was nice and large but shower lacked anywhere to put toiletries and no hooks for bathrobes.
