Stay somewhere else.
Hotel looks like it’s not very well maintained. Carpet was very dirty and blind was broken in our room. Some staff were very friendly other not so much! House keeping is only every second day which is odd. However, they never turned up on day 4 of our stay so we only got our room serviced once in a 6 night stay!?! Not good enough.

Aloft stay disappointing.
We paid ahead of time for valet parking. But the valet person was so overwhelmed we stood in a dark alley for 20 minutes and never saw him and there were at least 10 cars waiting to be parked. Lots of scary characters walking thru alley so finally pulled into very close self park. Hotel would not refund the parking pre-pay so now we are fighting with Hotels.com. Roller shades in room were broken with only few feet separating our room (and bed) from the next building. Hotel advertised free water. Huh - we had to pay $4.00 per bottle.

The hotel pool was closed and front desk did not mention it at check out. My kids were unhappy with this, and I was disappointed as well. Also, valet stole an item worth approximately $45 from my glove box! Why were they in my glove box?

A fabulous stay.
Guest check-in agent was wonderful and got us in our room early. I forgot about the time change. Valley agent was fabulous and got my niece and settled in lobby well. I was very frazzled after driving in downtown Chicago. Room was vet clean and had everything we needed. Great location.

Artsy and modern and affordable on the Mile
Amazing stay in Chicago for my daughter’s birthday. She picked the hotel for the aesthetic decor very modern and artistic. Staff very accommodating welcoming. Only issue was parking which wasn’t far just a block down just use to being on property site but no issues with that it was secure. Would definitely recommend and would book again.

I think that the room were very nice and modern however there are some issue with security at the lobby. My girlfriend’s wallet was stolen at the lobby while we were using our computers there. A stranger man pulled my girlfriend wallet from her bag and walked out of the hotel and we learned later that he was caught on tape. The security officers were helpful with instructions to file police report but it was not fun spend multiple hours canceling credit cards and freezing bank accounts and the hotel was not willing to even to validate our valet parking. In addition spending two hours at the 18 precinct to file a police report.
