The Hotel has an excellent location. You can walk to all key sites. The hotel also provides excellent soaps, gels and shampoo in bathrooms.
What a beautiful interior lobby - like a 7 star! The staff were all excellent - Olivia M at the front desk very kindly upgraded our room as we were celebrating the birth of our first grandchild, and also sent a bottle of champagne with a lovely card to our room. The room was excellent and kept clean and tidy by the many friendly house staff. The location is also perfect - right on Copley Square which is located in a beautiful and stylish part of Boston. Just 2 blocks from the very stylish Newbury area (nice cafes and restaurants and lots of shops). There are a couple of malls within a few minutes walk - including the Prudential Centre, the park is also a few minutes walk towards downtown, and the Back Bay train station is also just 5 mins. All in all an excellent stay.
Beautiful old building. Upon arrival, the Receptionist tried to persuade us to upgrade our room for an extra $750 suggesting we might find our reserved room too small. It wasn’t, it was s really good size.
The friendliness of all staff. Nothing was too much trouble.
Close to everything - the food was excellent as was gym
good staff with the kids, room was not ready by 4pm
We always love visiting Fairmont Copley Plaza and will continue to stay there when in Boston. However, the hotel needs a little touch up here and there - broken bedlights, not all plugs working and little things like that. Hopefully this will be fixed sooner than later. Looking forward to my next stay at the Fairmont.
We really enjoyed our stay at the Fairmount, it's a historic hotel, however kept in good condition and furnished with modern facilities and style. We had a slight noise problem on our first night which was quickly rectified by the front desk manager for our remaining stay.
When we tried to log on to the WiFi it wanted to charge us $20 a day. I called reception and was told that our room rate did not include WiFi - that’s unbelievable in this day and age. We complained in person and we’re given a complimentary code. The drinks in the bar are expensive $23 for a can of beer and a glass of wine.
